OSHA 30: SUMMER TRAINING 🦺

OSHA 30 is required for all forepersons in the northern part of Local 1's jurisdiction and for those working on certain jobs in the south.

This comprehensive course covers the essential topics supervisors need to help keep jobsites safe and ensure everyone makes it home safely at the end of the day. Attendance is mandatory for completion.

We are saddened to share the passing of Brother Leland "Lee" Neff on May 6 at the incredible age of 99 years, 8 months. ...

We are saddened to share the passing of Brother Leland "Lee" Neff on May 6 at the incredible age of 99 years, 8 months. At 83 years of service, he was Local 1’s longest dues-paying member — an extraordinary milestone that reflects a lifetime of loyalty, craftsmanship and brotherhood.

In addition to his eight decades in the trade, Lee proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean War as a ship’s cook. He was a devoted family man, lifelong Cubs fan and someone who stayed active and social well into his later years, enjoying cards, pool, bingo, music and time with loved ones.

Just months shy of his 100th birthday, Lee leaves behind a remarkable legacy of service and dedication that will not be forgotten.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Neff family and all who knew him.
