💚💛 Meadowview Vikings💛💚 This week was the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage month. We spent the week talking about different parts of history and on our final day we talked about modern history. Students volunteered to share more about their heritage and culture by talking about the Mexican flag and soccer jersey 🇲🇽, quinceañeras and the traditions included, as well as Cinco de Mayo. Students discussed Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, and traditional Mexican folk art, Papel picado. We enjoyed getting to hear about some of our students’ culture.

During our Spanish Heritage week we have discussed some about Aztecs, Mayans, and the Incas. We made some interesting examples inspired by the terrace farming used in Machu Picchu. Please write the number you think is closely associated with terrace farming or Machu Picchu ⛰️🇵🇪

💛💚Meadowview Vikings take on CPR💚💛 During our Career week we got to meet another amazing community helper! We had Ms. Rachél McAdams with Covenant Health come down and teach us the importance of CPR. Students were able to learn facts and important information and then practice on a few of the dummies. The students had an absolute blast 🤗 A huge thank you to Rachél for being a community hero and sharing your career with us! 👩‍⚕️🏥
