Morristown Women's Club House

Morristown Women's Club House Today it is also an event space, available for your tea, shower or other small party.

The Morristown Women’s Club House was purchased in 1925, to serve as the home for the federated women’s clubs of Morristown and to house our first public library.

We are pleased to announce that the Morristown Women's Club House has been determined to be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places under both criterion A - for its importance in Social History and criterion B - for its association with suffragist Hannah Price.

The next step is to submit the nomination for the registry listing. This is a lengthy process, but we will begin that process as soon as our contact can assist us with this nomination. She has a waiting list, but she will prepare this for us free of charge, so we are happy to wait for her availability.

Congratulations to the Board and to Betsy Dobbins for her very thorough application preparation and submission!

Thanks to GFWC Ladies’ Reading Circle and the other federated women’s clubs who have inhabited and cared for this community jewel since 1925. Long may she serve.
