Morristown Women's Club House

Our clubhouse is getting a much-needed flooring facelift thanks to a generous benefactor. During the next few weeks, we may not enter the premises while sanding, finishing and curing is happening. We will make another announcement when we are allowed to enter. Thank you!

We are pleased to announce that the Morristown Women's Club House has been determined to be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places under both criterion A - for its importance in Social History and criterion B - for its association with suffragist Hannah Price.

The next step is to submit the nomination for the registry listing. This is a lengthy process, but we will begin that process as soon as our contact can assist us with this nomination. She has a waiting list, but she will prepare this for us free of charge, so we are happy to wait for her availability.

Congratulations to the Board and to Betsy Dobbins for her very thorough application preparation and submission!

What a beautiful opportunity to see our Women’s Club House. Thanks to Morristown West Choir for providing seasonal music to enhance this experience. Thanks to GFWC Ladies’ Reading Circle and the other federated women’s clubs who have inhabited and cared for this community jewel since 1925. Long may she serve.

I have invited a group of Ladies' members to this page so far. The photos we have up are placeholders for better ideas, so please feel free to send in suggestions so we can pick our favorite photos for the new Morristown Women's Club House page.
