The Morrison Rotary Club made their annual donation for the purchase of books to benefit kids who participate in the Summer Reading program at the Odell Public Library. On hand to represent the Morrison Rotary Club was club treasurer Karl Kovarik. Odell Library Youth Services Coordinator Katie Rider was quick to thank the Morrison Rotary club for their generous $500 donation. Katie was able to purchase 200 books through the Scholastic Book Company. Over 100 kids in Morrison have taken advantage of free books offered thru this program. On behalf of the Morrison Rotary Club and numerous families in our community, we want to thank Katie for organizing such a beneficial program for our kids!

Check out the Morrison Rotary Pollinator Garden (and peace pole) next to Waterworks Park on the west end of Winfield Street! It is doing what it’s exactly supposed to be doing! Pollinator gardens don’t look as perfectly manicured as a traditional garden. They are designed for nature, not just for us. Native plants, seed heads, grasses, and a little “messiness” provide food and shelter for bees, butterflies, and other wildlife. A pollinator garden may look less polished, but it’s a beautiful sign of a healthy, thriving ecosystem. You can see by these pictures the bees are happy! There are butterflies there too, but they were a little camera shy! 🐝🦋

We are grateful to Rotary District 6420 for their generous support through a District Grant to help fund four benches at the pickleball courts coming to Morrison!

This project is made possible through a 50/50 partnership between Rotary District 6420 and the Morrison Rotary Club.

These benches will provide a welcoming place for players and spectators to rest, connect, and enjoy the game. Thank you for investing in Morrison and helping enhance our local recreation spaces!
