Meet your 2026-2027 President Megan Folkers!

Megan runs the show around our chapter! She is always willing to help out and keeps everyone in line. Megan always knows what to do and when she doesn’t she will find an answer for us.

Question time!!

1. Megan will be going into her senior year!
2. Her favorite part of FFA is getting to help the community.
3. Megan’s favorite event has been National Convention so far.
4. Her SAE project is her sweet corn and cattle her family grows/raises. This means she is super busy making record book updates!
5. Her favorite hobby outside of FFA is softball!
6. Megan would chose wearing sneakers for the rest of her life over boots.
7. If Megan could have a farm animal as a pet she would pick a highland cow because they are so fluffy!
8. Her favorite memory is sitting on a wheely cart freshman year with me, (Claire D), because they didn’t have enough desks for us.
9. Megan’s go to snack is peach rings before events.

Meet your 2026-2027 Reporter Claire DeRycke!

For those of you who don’t know the reporter runs all of our social media platforms for the chapter. So I am the one making this post right now and all the ones that are to come! I love making these posts and keeping my community in the loop to the best of my abilities.

Now let’s let the questions begin!!

1: I’m going into my senior year!
2: My friends and getting new experiences are my favorite part of FFA.
3: State Convention and State Ag Sales have to be my favorite events so far.
4: My SAE project is my sweet corn business that I run with my sisters! We have been selling sweet corn since 2018 and started freezer bags in 2020.
5: My favorite hobby outside of FFA would have to be volleyball. I love sports and being competitive.
6: I would 1000% be wearing sneakers for the rest of my life.
7: My farm animal pet would be a baby duck or chick but only if I could keep them as a baby forever.
8: My favorite memory would have to be Mr. Hendricks and Mrs. Prombo hitting over 20 curbs on the way to State Convention and never admitting to any of them. Sometimes they hit too many to keep track of!
9: My go to snack would be a Bubbl’r and some gummy bears before events.

Happy Fair Week!! 🎡🎟️

Our chapter had a week full of fun at the Whiteside County Fair! Besides riding rides and eating good food on our own time, we had a great time running the FFA Alumni tent and the Cattlemen’s Barn.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our chapter and alumni this week at the fair! We wouldn’t be able to do the things we do without all of your support. 💙💛
