It all started long ago, back when Sara Nunez, our founder, was 9 years old. Back then, she met a person who defined her childhood and her dreams to come. This person believed in her, and pushed her out of poverty by giving her a job so she could learn the importance of effort, becoming her shadow and professional mentor. This mobilizing experience taught her early on about the importance of dreaming in order to succeed in life, and how a helping hand at the right moment makes all the difference when the surrounding circumstances are not favorable. After that, she used all that knowledge to focus on her career and succeed, but, later in life, she started asking herself: what if I paid it forward, and helped others the same way I was helped when I was young? And that’s how Dream to Succeed Foundation was born, passing it forward to many others in Colombia, and giving them the chance to succeed in their own country, so they can contribute greatly to our development and progress, while enjoying their family, culture and the wonderful place to live that they call home.
