A few of our CAPLP CCC team members from Bright & Early ND had the joy of attending NDCCPI's fall conference on Saturday and connection with some of North Dakota's early childhood professionals. Kelli Odden and Lena Scullard presented, and it was a fun filled day with laughter, learning, and collaboration!

📖National Book Month is an annual celebration held every October to promote reading, writing, and literature. Little Ones: Try classic interactive picture books, rhythmic rhyming stories, or vibrant lift-the-flap books to keep them engaged while cuddling up. Bigger Ones: Consider a "co-reading" session where you both read your own separate books side-by-side or choose an exciting middle-grade fantasy or mystery novel to read aloud together chapter by chapter. Family Reading Routine: Set up a dedicated "drop everything and read" time for just 15 to 20 minutes a day, complete with warm blankets and seasonal snacks like apple c***r or hot cocoa.

Last week, team members from CAPLP CCC Bright & Early ND traveled from all corners of the state to gather in Jamestown for a powerful day of collaboration. The event brought our team together with statewide partners from Child Care Aware of ND and Uspire ND. The meeting provided a fantastic opportunity to step away from our daily routines, connect face-to-face, and dive deeper into the vital work each of our organizations is doing. Beyond learning from one another, it was a high-energy day focused on building relationships, strengthening our shared partnerships, and enjoying time together. By aligning our efforts and deepening these connections, we are better equipped than ever to support early childhood initiatives and communities across North Dakota.
