The Mooresville High School Pioneer Regiment Marching Band and Color Guard are a working group of young men and young ladies who devote their time to to music! Hard work and endurance throughout the year prepare them for the summer competition season where they practice daily to perfect their show, getting ready for the Indiana State Fair Band Day!

Mooresville Pioneer Regiment Band & Color Guard

The Mooresville High School band, and color guard programs is comprised of a group of 150+ exceptional students that devote hundreds of hours year-round to perfecting their talents for state level competitions. Their time commitment is unparalleled to any other high school extracurricular activity as they put in time not only during school but as well as evenings, weekends, school holidays, and all summer long. Their dedication to their craft shows through in their competitions throughout the year:

The Mooresville Pioneer Regiment Marching Band competes in the CITSA track circuit during the summer. They have consistently finished within the top 20 bands at the Indiana State Fair Band Day since their return to the competition in 2010, competing against upwards of 50 high schools from across the state. At the 2019 Indiana State Fair competition the Pioneer Regiment placed 3rd in Class AA, qualified for the Sweet 16 finals night show where they finished 14th overall. Out of 10 seasons competing in Band Day at the Indiana State Fair the Regiment has made the Sweet 16 eight times.

Our color guard has expanded to encompass two levels of performing. The Cadet Guard started in 2014 and quickly moved up a class to Regional A. This includes students from grades 6th through 12th. Our A Guard is the "varsity" level of our program and each year has grown to become a force to be recognized, finishing 4th in the state finals the spring of 2018, as well as competing in WGI past season finishing 6th at the Indianapolis Regionals. The color guard finished 1st in Class AA at the Indiana State Fair Band Day, and 7th overall in 2019.

Mooresville Percussion is entering completed their sixth season of competing in IPA, and has made it to the state finals three times during its run, including 5th place in 2018. Our percussion placed 4th overall at the Indiana State Fair Band Day in 2019.
