ChiliFest has always been a great community gathering, and this year we’re taking it in a bold new direction.
Our goal is to reinvent ChiliFest as the go-to epic fall campout party — the kind of place families look forward to coming back to every year. A place where kids, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends can all come together and enjoy the weekend.

Kids have always been welcome at ChiliFest, but this year we’re working to make sure it’s just as fun and exciting for them as it has always been for adults, with organized activities so families can relax and enjoy the weekend however they choose.
We also hope this effort helps bring young families into ABATE, adding new enthusiasm, ideas, and energy to our organization. Simply put — we’re investing in our future.
Another key goal is keeping ChiliFest extremely affordable, with the help of our sponsors who are stepping up to help make this possible.
ABATE is hosting the event and providing the leadership.

The County meeting has been changed to the correct day on the website.

We meet on the 2nd Sunday of the Month at 6pm at the American Legion Post 103 in Mooresville, IN at 350 E Main Street.

So the next meeting will be March 8th.

If you haven’t been coming , please come out and get involved.

If you have been coming , bring two people with you!

PSA

We are growing as a county but we seriously need to get some more active members coming to the meetings!

Morgan County used to be one of the most active and influential counties in ABATE so I’m here to listen.

If you used to be an active member and stop coming to the meetings , what would it take to get you back ?

If you’ve been a long term member but never really been active , what would make you want to come to the meetings and get involved?

If you’re a new member then we would love to have you start coming to meetings and become active.

I’ve had people tell me they joined ABATE for a variety of reasons. Some joined because they went through ABATE to get training and licensed , others joined just because they like going to the Boogie , some are long term riders that have lived through the fights we’ve had over our rights such as Indian’s history with the helmet law debate, etc, etc.

The reality is , no matter what your reason for being a member , ABATE needs people to be active to continue doing all of the above. Without ABATE , there is no ABATE training, there is no Boogie , there is no organized group protecting our rights as riders , both on and off the road.

So ABATE’s mission is Education and Advocating for our Rights , but the mission is funded with Fun. Thats where we come in as a County. We work together as a county to plan and execute fun events as well as in partnership with other Region 11 counties.

So let’s hear it. What do you want to see in the future , what do you miss from the past , what would it take to get you to take a couple hours a month and get involved?

Giving Thanks

Thank you to all of our officers, instructors, members, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters! Wishing you and your families the happiest Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful and safe holiday.

Our office will be closed for the holiday. We will return to our regular hours (Mon-Tue, Thur-Fri 9 am-5 pm) on Monday.

Take a look at your membership cards. Are you current? Do you need to renew? ABATE membership can be a great holiday gift. Please help the cause!! Shop “local” even if you say I don’t have a bike right now or I am no longer active. We don’t care. $25 single / $45 couple a YEAR is a small price to fight for and support motorcycle rights, and education.
