Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County GREAT FUTURES START HERE. The Boys & Girls offers a wide variety of programs and activities for youth focused on our core program areas.

Core Programs engage young people in activities with adults, peers, and family members that enable them to reach their full potential. Based on the interests and needs of the boys and girls they serve, Clubs offer diverse program activities in five areas: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills, The Arts; and Sports, Fitness, and Recreation. F

ocusing on programs and activities in the five coure program areas help the Boys & Girls Club achieve our priority outcomes. It is our goal that all members will achives the following priority outcomes: Acedmic Success- Graduate from high school ready for college, trade school, military sevice, or employment; Good Character & Citizenship- Be an engaged citizen involved in ther community, register to vote and model strong charcter; Healthy Lifestyles- Adopt a healthy diet, practice healthy lifestyle choices and make a lifelong commitment to fitness.

Yesterday, I was walking from the back lot to enter the building. A very young Club kid was exiting ahead of me. She saw me, turned to grab the door, and waited for me. I thanked her for holding the door and said, “You’re a good kid, you know that?” She said, “Yes, I do. It’s in my heart.” How profound. 💙🤍👏

Club members tried their best to get Club staff to bring this raccoon back to the Club. We told them we would post this very smart critter to our page. The raccoon provided a lot of entertainment for our kids who spent the day with A Senior Retreat, Adult Day Services at Echo Hollow Nature Park Town of Plainfield - Government. 🦝

Today, a group of Club members spent time forming intergenerational relationships with new friends at A Senior Retreat, Adult Day Services. Kids were given a Fishing 101 lesson by Mooresville’s Tackle Service Center. Kids interacted with and brought joy to the faces of seniors. Kids also made bracelets for their new friends with pretty items found in nature. Oh, and a very smart raccoon provided entertainment for all! 🦝🎣

We were privileged to attend the 25th Anniversary celebration of Kendrick Foundation this evening. We are grateful for them and our Club wouldn’t be where it is today without their generous support. Thank you and Congratulations Kendrick Foundation!

For more than a century, the Kendrick name has been part of a legacy of compassionate, high-quality care in Morgan County. From its beginnings as a small six-bed sanitarium to a trusted community hospital, that commitment to excellence and personal care has remained constant. 💙

Today, as we celebrate 25 years of the Kendrick Foundation, we honor that history while continuing to invest in the health and wellbeing of our community. Through grants, scholarships, and partnerships, we are proud to carry forward a tradition of care that supports Morgan County now and for generations to come.

This week, kids will spend time with seniors serving along with A Senior Retreat, Adult Day Services. Summer is FUN and Enriching at the same time! 🌞💙🤍👏
