🇺🇸 Thank You for Making Vet Fest 2026 a Success 🇺🇸
The Sullivan County Veterans Coalition would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make the 2026 Sullivan County Veterans Festival & Stand Down such a successful and meaningful day.
An event like Vet Fest does not happen because of one person or one organization. It happens because an entire community comes together with a shared commitment to honor, support, and serve our veterans.
We are incredibly grateful to our planning committee and volunteers, who spent months preparing for this event and countless hours behind the scenes coordinating vendors, securing resources, selling Cash Bash tickets, organizing federal surplus, planning logistics, setting up, breaking down, and stepping in wherever they were needed.
Special thanks to Loch Sheldrake Fire Department and the Fireman’s Park for welcoming us and providing such a wonderful location for this year’s event, and to our fire service partners (shoutout to Liberty & Hurleyville FDs!) and volunteers who assisted with the grounds, tent, parking, flag display, supplies, and logistics.
Thank you to every one of our veteran service organizations, government agencies, informational vendors, health and wellness resources, community organizations, and outreach partners who showed up to connect veterans with the services, benefits, opportunities, and support available to them.
Thank you to those who helped make our Stand Down possible… from obtaining and transporting federal surplus to setting it up, registering veterans, and distributing items throughout the day.
Thank you to the Tri Valley Little League, Rennison’s Popcorn, Liberty ShopRite, Cup of Mud and everyone who helped feed our veterans and guests, and to those who generously donated supplies and their time.
Thank you to our musicians, Derek Stoner and Jesse Noren, for filling the park with incredible music and adding so much to the atmosphere of the day.
Thank you to Christopher McFadden for leading us in our National Anthem and to Jim Kaufman for helping us open and close our gathering in prayer.
Thank you to our veteran-owned and patriotic goods vendors, Frost Valley and our Kids Corner participants, and everyone who brought something special to the festival experience.
Thank you to Paul Ciliberto & Catskills News Talk Radio for providing us airtime and for their help to spread the word, and to every person and organization who shared our flyer, promoted the event, or personally invited a veteran to attend.
And thank you to everyone who purchased or sold a Cash Bash ticket. Your support helped offset the expenses associated with putting on Vet Fest and will help us continue our mission of serving the veteran community.
Most importantly, thank you to every veteran who joined us.
Vet Fest exists for you.
Whether you came for the resources, the federal surplus, a meal, the music, the camaraderie—or simply to spend a few hours among fellow veterans—we were honored to have you with us.
Yesterday was a beautiful example of what can happen when veterans, organizations, businesses, volunteers, and community members come together in service to something bigger than themselves.
