June is Great Outdoors Month and these departments got the message, filling their week with walks, hikes, and a very muddy run!
๐ชWhite Lake Fire Company started their week with a family workout before drill to prepare for the Spartan Race at Bethel Woods! The group tackled the muddy 5K sprint over the weekend and enjoyed a hike at Lake Superior during drill, way to go Spartans!
๐ฅพLivingston Manor Fire Department took a hike on the Parksville Rail Trail, took a walk around town, and filled their community food pantry.
๐ฉบSmallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Department did their start-of-the-month routine with blood pressure checks, weigh-ins, and health board updates to share information with department members. They also enjoyed Caesar salad with homemade dressing and watermelon
๐ซMonticello Fire Department were busy with walks, stretches, wall sits, push-up challenges, and, most importantly, staying hydrated in the summer heat
๐Jeffersonville Fire Department (and chefs) made spaghetti with turkey meat sauce, a healthy swap for the traditional recipe
๐ฅฆNarrowsburg Fire Department Narrowsburg-Lava firefighters enjoyed healthy meals all week with homemade taquitos, fresh peppers and broccoli with Greek yogurt dip, and a side of watermelon
