What should I do when a fire truck, or emergency vehicle approaches me?

Don't panic! slow down and safely pull to the RIGHT side of the road to allow us to safely pass you. Avoid pulling into oncoming traffic, especially in active intersections. Avoid speeding up to stay ahead of us. We will only slow you down for a few seconds, and then you can continue safely to your destination!

Career members Betanzos, Cunningham and Howell along with department Captain Rivas, are participating in Confined Space Rescue Technician training at Stewart Air Base this week.
This 40hour advanced training will provide us with more highly trained manpower, in the event of a confined space emergency within the district. Also pictured is retired Deputy Chief Houman, who is serving as instructor for the week.

Yesterday at 0830 PFF Wayne VanderMeulen Jr Badge #12 retired after 20 years of service to the Monticello Joint Fire District. Surrounded by Family, Friends and members of various agencies throughout Sullivan and Orange Counties.
