On Tuesday, Kent Davis, CEO of Vets Recover in Mobile, joined the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery to share the incredible work his organization is doing to support veterans, first responders, and their families.

💜 Join the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! 💜

The Kiwanis Club of Montgomery was honored to welcome Amy Waters, Development Manager with the Alzheimer’s Association, and Charles Jinright, chairman of this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, to our meeting last week!

They shared the importance of this annual walk and the tremendous impact Alzheimer’s disease and dementia have on families throughout our community.

Did you know that more than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, including approximately 103,000 right here in Alabama?

The Alzheimer’s Association is working every day to change that through research, risk reduction, early detection, and support for individuals and families. From a 24/7 helpline to resources for those newly diagnosed and their caregivers, they provide help when it’s needed most.

💜 You can be part of the fight!

Join the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and show your support for the individuals and families affected by this disease. Every step brings us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia!

We always look forward to having Dr. David Bronner at Kiwanis—and yesterday was no exception!

Dr. Bronner is one of our most informative and entertaining speakers, and he gave us plenty to think about. He shared his perspective on several important issues facing Alabama, including the challenge of preparing a balanced state budget for the coming year. He also gave us an interesting look at Wall Street and his thoughts on what is happening nationally and internationally.

We are grateful that Dr. Bronner continues to take the time to join us, share his knowledge and keep us informed about the issues that matter to Alabama and beyond.

Thank you, Dr. Bronner, for a great program—and for all you do for the State of Alabama! We are always glad to have you at Kiwanis!
