Our hearts are heavy this week with the loss of a great man and Rotarian.
Pepper Pettit was larger than life and left a huge impact on many.

The Rotary Club of Monroe welcomed a few additions to its 2026–2027 leadership during its meeting Tuesday, Aug. 25.

Katie Butler was inducted as president of the club, with Peter Wosnik inducted as president-elect and Stuart Smith as Sergeant at Arms. Not pictured Bill Bryson (Past President) Randy Dittmer (Treasurer) and Laurie Hawks (Secretary).

The club also welcomed District Governor Paul Matthews and Area Governor Ken Strickland, who joined the members for the occasion of inducting our new officers.

As the Rotary Club of Monroe begins a new year of service, club members also recognized the volunteers and leaders whose time and dedication help support Rotary’s work in the community.

The Rotary Club of Monroe is part of Rotary International, a global service organization that brings together community and business leaders to provide humanitarian service and strengthen communities locally and around the world.
