Did you know?….the first Thanksgiving hosted by Operation Reach-Out was held at East Elementary school? It was a time of fellowship, songs and a message. That day 100 thanksgiving meals were handed out and Lord of the Harvest was born! This community event can only take place with help from you! It takes a lot of dressing to feed 450- which is our prediction this year! If you can help by donating a pan would you email us at [email protected] or call 704.289.4237. We have cooler/freezer space available so they can be made in advance!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner! We would love for you to join us at our table!

If you came into our office, there is a good chance you saw this lady! Judy volunteered and was ready to serve the Lord and ORO any way she could. Judy transitioned to her heavenly home this weekend and while we rejoice that she has gone to her glorious eternal life, we will miss her more than words can say. Please remember her family and those of us who loved her dearly in your prayers.

We love to see smiling faces and this day we were blessed with these lovely ladies from Hermon Baptist Church! Our weekday lunch program feeds those who are hungry after receiving God’s word! We have spots open each month if you or your group would like to provide a meal, or if you would like to help serve! Call our office to see how you can help!

Did you know?…did you know that Operation Reach-Out partners with our local probation office? We work closely with probation clients needing to fulfill community service hours as part of their restitution for wrongs committed. They provide us some much needed help in return for hours of service. Many would see this as a hardship, but we see it as an opportunity to walk along side of someone who got lost along the way. One young man this week finished his hours and in offering handshakes and hugs told us how much his time with us has changed his life. This is the heart of Operation Reach-Out….one person at a time.

““The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.””

We are forever thankful for our relationship with our truckers! Today we received a pallet of beautiful raspberries that will be such a blessing to those receiving them! Our mission is to put good, healthy and usable food in the hands of those who need a hand up!
