Did you know that fully funding the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is something that mental health advocates - local, state, and federal - have been fighting for?

In July alone, Wisconsin's 988 Lifeline received 11,200 phone calls. Think about that. Thousands of people looking for help. And the demand is not going down.

It is important to make your voice heard and let your representatives and senators know that funding 988 is life-saving.

In the place of our staff meeting this week, our team took a fieldtrip over to our state office at NAMI Wisconsin to volunteer some time assembling Crisis Safety Response Kits.

Thanks to a generous grant, NAMI Wisconsin will be assembling and distributing over 6,000 of these kits to law enforcement and first responders across the state to help them be better prepared to help someone through a mental health crisis.

Some of the items included in the kits are gun locks, cold and hot packs, ear plugs, med lock bags, first aid kits, and resource materials.
