Thank you, Jami! 💚
Last week the MEF board held officer elections, and before we introduce our new leadership, we want to honor our outgoing President, Jami Barrett Madonia.
Jami and her husband, Ian, are raising three wonderful kids, two of whom are proud graduates of Mokena 159 schools. Over the last four years, Jami didn't just lead MEF; she built it into something stronger.
She created a clear, structured grant cycle, so teachers know exactly how and when to request funding for their classrooms, and grants stay responsible and on budget all year. She kept every meeting and fundraiser organized and on track. She also ran our marketing, keeping MEF's calendar, website, and page up to date. Through it all, she built strong relationships with principals, teachers, and administrators across District 159, so every dollar we raise goes where it makes the biggest difference for our students.
She truly does it all!
She's leaving quite a legacy, and the best part is that she isn't going anywhere. Jami will continue serving on the board as our Past President.
