Earth Day Celebration 2026 started late due to rain and lightning. We did setup after the lightning stopped but the not the rain. By the time the rai was over we had our first visitors. There was a great turnout of environmental oriented groups! The rain held off the expected crowd but we still had over 500 participants at Chickasabouge Park. Thanks to the folks that serve Mobile County! 6 Love Your Community teams received $1500 each for the grants they wrote after completing enough hours of picking up litter.

The Mobile County Annual Earth Day celebration on April 25, at Chickasabogue Park was a success! Visitors enjoyed rock climbing, face painting, an electric vehicle showcase and live music.
Commissioner Hudson welcomed visitors, and spoke about how protecting our natural resources is a shared responsibility. The event highlighted this commitment by awarding Love Your Community grants to six local teams dedicated to neighborhood beautification.
A huge thank you to partners Keep Mobile Beautiful, Gulf Coast RC&D and the community for helping keep Mobile County thriving.
