First Light Community of Mobile is a community where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life together. We have 6 homes and an Activity Center located in the Midtown area of Mobile, AL, where we provide homes and support for our 25 Core Members (individuals with an intellectual disability). Our mission is to provide a family-like environment for our Core Members, building relationships of mutual trust and a sense of home in a place where they can live their whole lives.

Part time as well as full time positions are available.

Diane’s celebration of life will be on Thursday July 16th at All Saints church at 151 S Ann St in their sanctuary at 10am.

What a week! House vacation week is coming to an end and we had a great time exploring around Mobile, enjoying great meals together and making new memories. Lots of laughter and enjoying a refreshing and relaxing week!

Our community asks you to help celebrate the life of Diane Walker. Diane passed peacefully last night in her home of 36 years. Proudly known by the nickname of her favorite hero, Diane was truly the Wonder Woman. Her determination for independence and a strong voice of opinion stayed with her until the end. Diane had the most contagious laugh. She loved fuzzy socks, puzzles, cooking, and worship time. Her friendship reached so many. Please help us celebrate her by sharing any memories and photos. Arrangements will be announced at a later time.
