Mobile Witches Ride The Mobile Witches Ride is a Halloween themed bike ride and spirited after party in downtown Mobile. Yes, Warlocks are welcome to ride with your Witches!

The Mobile Witches Ride is the major fundraiser for Delta Dogs, a local non-profit dedicated to providing free spay/neuter and veterinary care to the pets of people in need. The 6th Annual Mobile Witches Ride will take place on Sunday, October 30th. We challenge you to get your best, most fabulous witches costume together and hop on your broom (aka your bicycle - yeah decorate that, too!) for a fu

n, slow paced 3-mile ride around downtown Mobile and DeTonti Square. The ride will end with a fabulous block party with music, libations, and food from local food trucks and our party hosts, The Blind Mule. Your ticket includes access to the street party, an event t-shirt and one free beer. Food and and additional beverages will be for sale through the onsite vendors. Prizes for best dressed Witch and Warlock will be happening, too! All of this fun benefits a good cause - Delta Dogs, a local non-profit that helps provide free spay/neuter and veterinary services to the pets of Mobile's community in need.

**Event Details**
Check-in: 3:30pm - 4:45pm
Witches Line-up: 4:45pm - 5:00pm
WITCHES RIDE: 5:00pm SHARP
Black Hat Block Party: 5:00-7:00pm

Note: This an 18+ ride. No child riders, towed trailers with children, or babies in front or rear seats will be allowed due to the nature of the event (costumes, 100s of riders, etc.) and for Witch and Warlock safety. We encourage families to watch the Witches and Warlocks on parade. We will be throwing candy to everyone watching! Families are welcome to meet up with their riders at the block party. Children can enter for free with an adult or guardian.

Thank you to each and every Witch that came out today! Despite the unsettled and windy weather, we had a great time and love all of our friends - many of whom have joined us every single year. We are especially thankful to all of our sponsors, BBD, The Blind Mule Restaurant & Bar, and Braided River Brewing Co.

If you would like to pick up your shirt, there are two upcoming opportunities:

1. Tuesday night from 5:30 - 7pm at Braided River Brewing’s Yappy Hour (bring your pup for homemade treats!)

**Witches - Due to dangerous conditions, the Mobile Witches Ride is canceled** Riding a bicycle in these wet and windy conditions is dangerous, and your safety is our number #1 priority. We are - however - going to gather for the Black Hat Block Party at two locations. Please keep reading!

Black Hat Block Party -
Starting at 4pm, you are welcome to join us - rain or shine - at Braided River Brewing Co. *OR* The Blind Mule Restaurant & Bar. You can grab your shirt, let out some cackles to protest the weather, and a beer from our sponsors. Show off those awesome costumes!

T-Shirt Pick-up after today -
We will also announce another set shirt pick-up time later this week. It will be at a convenient location and time.

FAQs
1. Why can’t we reschedule the ride? Unfortunately, this event takes an immense amount of planning, including extensive police participation, host establishments, vendors, and volunteer participation. We are not able to reschedule.

2. Where does my ticket donation go? All proceeds from the Witches Ride support Delta Dogs, a non profit in Mobile County that helps provide free veterinary care and spay and neuter to the pets of people in need. We support the elderly, disabled, veterans, women in crisis, the unhoused, and people with temporary circumstances like job loss or medical crises.

3. Can I get my shirt after the event? Yes! We will be announcing additional shirt pick up times and locations that are convenient for all witches.

4. Can I pick up shirts for my coven? Yes! Just have their name ready.

5. When is next year’s ride? We will be back for our 10th Anniversary Ride! The ride date is Sunday, October 25, 2026.

6. Can I hug the volunteer witches who make this happen every year? Yes!!! 🧙 🤗 We work hard to make this event happen, and we are so sad to have our first weatheThe Blind Mule Restaurant & Bar kindness and constant support!

Good evening, Witches!

We just wanted to give you an update on Sunday’s ride. We are closely monitoring the weather. We have had 8 years of fine weather, but Mother Earth is testing us this year. The forecast currently looks questionable, and we will make the call on Sunday morning at 11am about whether the ride can go on. While this is a rain or shine event, safety of our witches is the absolute #1 priority. If it looks like severe weather is possible, we will cancel the ride.

In lieu of the ride if we have to The Blind Mule Restaurant & Barth ouBraided River Brewing Co.lind Mule Restaurant & Bar and Braided River Brewing Co., to host two witchingly fun gatherings at each establishment for those who still want to join us to celebBBDe, get their ride shirts, and enjoy a beer thanks to BBD. We will have alternate pick up locations for shirts the following week for those who prefer to pick up shirts at a later date.

Keep your eyes on our page and your email….and in the meantime, cast a spell, say a prayer, shout out to the universe or whatever it takes for the severe weather to pass! Thank you for your patience and understanding, and thank you for supporting Delta Dogs.
