I am proud to share that MAIC received a proclamation from the City of Mobile recognizing the success of our opioid abatement funding and the work we are doing in the community.

This recognition belongs to our TEAM (Chaplaincy Ministry and Neighbor Center). Their dedication, teamwork and commitment to helping people get the resources they need does not go unnoticed.

At MAIC, we believe that when we help people, we help make our community safer and stronger.

The Memorial Service honoring the life and legacy of Imam Matthew Abdullah, one of the founding members of the Mobile Area Interfaith Conference (MAIC), will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Mobile Masjid of Al-Islam, located at 1559 Duval Street, Mobile, Alabama.

Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to gather as we celebrate his life, honor his many contributions, and remember the lasting impact he made through his faith, leadership, and service.

I am so proud of TEAM MAIC!!! In June we hosted a high school youth group from First Presbyterian Church in Anderson, South Carolina. During their mission trip to Mobile, students learned about the Metro Jail ministry, the challenges faced by returning citizens, and the services available before and after release.
