We believe it is our responsibility to rescue orphaned cats and dogs from overcrowded shelters.

Meows and Mutts Rescue believes that it is our responsibility to care for those sick, weak, and abandoned cats and dogs who have no voice, and to rescue and re-home those who have no other chances. We do this by pulling animals from overcrowded shelters and off the streets, caring for them, having them spay and neutered and finding them loving homes with the help of our partner rescues in the northeast.

Goodmorning our beautiful, feline loving friends!

Today is Sunday, October 18th and we are in GO MODE. Last week we sent a van full of kitties to our rescue partner up north. These kitties came from multiple organizations in our community that we work with to give them a brighter future. (Rescue collaboration saves more lives!)

Well… our northern parter gave us a call 2 days ago and said that they had a transport cancellation and that we could make a SECOND trip this month! WOO! That’s TWICE the amount of cats that make their way up to get adopted. This rescue partner is a larger organization that works with multiple Petsmart stores along the east coast. So our kitties get seen, socialized, and a higher chance of adoption thanks to this partnership.

The catch? This is an expense we weren’t prepared for. So we need a little help! We are looking to raise at least $1,500 to help us cover gas, supplies, and hotel for our driver. (She’s going to be tired after she makes that long drive)

If you have a few dollars to spare, please consider a donation to help us get these kitties on a second journey to homes!

We are getting ready to load up! Thank you SO much for supporting these kitties and their opportunity to find homes!
