✨ Juneteenth Jubilee Weather Update ✨

We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for this Saturday’s Juneteenth Jubilee.

Because the concert & activities takes place on a grassy area, excessive rainfall could create conditions that are unsafe or unsuitable for guests. While we are hopeful the event will move forward as planned, a final decision will be based on both the forecast and the condition of the event site.

We will provide an official event update on Friday afternoon via our Facebook and Instagram pages. Residents are encouraged to check back before making plans for Saturday evening.

🎉 If conditions allow, we look forward to celebrating with you at one of Sienna’s most anticipated summer traditions!

Join us for an evening filled with live entertainment from Houston’s own The C.I.T.Y Band, food trucks, a vendor market, carnival rides, dance performances, face painting, art activities, and more.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, favorite beverages, and the entire family for a memorable night under the stars. Residents affiliated with HBCUs or Divine Nine organizations are also encouraged to wear their paraphernalia and represent with pride.

🚗 Parking: This event is sure to be packed! Additional parking can be found at Camp Sienna (7725 Camp Sienna Trail) with three shuttles running from the offsite parking lot to the event site from 6:30pm – 11pm. Residents are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the free shuttle service, bike, or walk to the event when possible.

⚠️ Pool Opening Delay Update ⚠️ Due to weather conditions, the pools scheduled to open today will have a delayed opening.

- Brushy Lake Pool
- Steep Bank Pool
- Sienna Springs Resort Pool

These facilities are expected to open at 1:00PM (weather permitting).

If additional delays become necessary, we will provide updates here. Otherwise, the pools will open at 1:00PM and close at their regularly scheduled times.

📚✨ College Fair Update ✨📚

To provide the best possible experience for our students and families, our College Fair has been rescheduled to Sunday, August 30, from 2:00–5:00 PM.

Due to unexpected scheduling conflicts with several participating colleges, we’ve adjusted the date to allow those universities to join us—and to welcome even more colleges and universities to the event. We’re excited to make this an even larger and more valuable opportunity for our community to explore future educational pathways.

🕑 Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

The full list of participating colleges and universities will be announced the week of the event.

🎶 WEATHER UPDATE 🎶

Due to today’s rain and possible additional rain for tomorrow, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule tomorrow’s live concert featuring the Fab 5 Band. The amphitheater grounds are expected to remain too wet and muddy for a comfortable guest experience.

The good news — the party isn’t over! 🎸 The Fab 5 Band will return to Sienna for a Fall Concert on November 13, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you then. More details will be shared closer to the event date.

🐠 Calling all future fishing pros! KidFish is swimming back to Waters Lake for an afternoon full of casting, catching, and family fun! 🎣

This year, young anglers can learn from experienced fishing volunteers, compete for trophies like Biggest Catch, and try our NEW lure casting games designed to teach kids how to cast like a pro!

The lake will be stocked with channel catfish, so every cast could be the big one! Will your little fisher reel in the Biggest Catch? 🏆

✨We encourage you to bring your poles from home, but please note fishing poles will be provided to those who don’t have one, while supplies last!

Heads up, Sienna… 🌧️

After closely monitoring the weather, we’ve made the tough decision to cancel this Saturday’s Fiesta de Mayo event due to expected rain on Friday.

The rainfall will leave the amphitheater hill wet and muddy, making it unsuitable for seating and the concert experience, on Saturday. While we’re disappointed, the safety and comfort of our residents come first.

THE GOOD NEWS: By making this call now, we’re able to reschedule Mango Punch for a future date instead of losing the band altogether! Stay tuned for details on the band returning to Sienna, later this year.

From digging up ancient fossils 🦴 to mixing up gooey creations at the Slime Lab, this hands-on event is packed with fun for curious minds of all ages. Kids can also jump into the world of tech at our Robotics & Gaming Station with Code Ninjas 🤖
