Just sending a little message of encouragement to keep you going this morning. Walking in purpose is not for the faint of heart. It can be exhausting and very disappointing at times. However, even when it seems as though you are fighting a losing battle or that you're moving a million miles per hour and getting nowhere, keep pushing forward! It would be wonderful if we always had it all together, but that's not reality. We all have strengthens and flaws, and good times and hard times. As long as we are striving to be better versions of ourselves, we are winning at this thing called life!

When you're struggling and need to find grace for yourself, tell yourself...I can be both a masterpiece and work in progress!

Volunteer Spotlight

We would like to introduce you to ABSNE Volunteer Amy Melby. We are very excited to have her as a part of the A Bold Story Never Ends team.

Here's a message from Amy:

Hello! My name is Amy Melby and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate (supervised by Maritza Veliz). I earned my Master of Education in Counseling from Lamar University. With over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and teens through my role as a school counselor, I have a unique perspective to the challenges many young people face. I have experience working with children and families from a wide range of backgrounds and concerns including, anxiety, relationship difficulties, academic challenges, and social-emotional development. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and supportive. I am a Houston native and in my time outside of the counseling office I enjoy spending time with my family, working on my 1973 Ford Bronco, and reading.

I would like to support A Bold Story Never Ends by offering group therapy sessions focusing on mindfulness skills for adolescents and teens. As a mental health professional, I am passionate about providing young people with a safe, supportive environment where they can build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and connect with peers facing similar challenges. I hope to help participants strengthen their emotional well-being and recognize they are not alone.
