Sharing information from Missouri City tonight.... Yellow streets will be no parking. Red streets will be closed to all cars and golf carts. Anyone living where the streets are closed and comes home late will park in the golf cart area at Quail Valley Golf Club and will be shuttled to their homes.

The City has reached out to Quail Valley Proud to assist in sharing communications regarding the traffic changes planned from now until Halloween.

Starting today, October 23, the designated Robinson Road/Glen Echo Lane route will operate one-way from 5–10 p.m. daily through October 30 to help maintain emergency access and manage Halloween traffic.

Residents and visitors must follow the posted route. The City recognizes that these changes affect residents’ daily routines. Please allow extra travel time and plan ahead when possible. View the route map: https://bit.ly/Pre-HalloweenWeekTraffic

The Crime Watch training scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. The office that was scheduled to do the training tonight has had a family emergency. We will let those impacted know when the reschedule date will be.

🎃 NIGHTMARE ON CANDY CANE LANE: THE CHANGES ARE COMING!

Here’s your first update from Missouri City to help you prepare for the upcoming changes! This one covers the week leading up to Halloween (October 23–30). Quail Valley Proud will send a separate update about what the city has planned for Halloween night so we can break things down and make it easier to keep everything straight.

PLEASE NOTE: Quail Valley Proud is simply helping communicate information provided by Missouri City. The traffic plans and road closures are decisions made by the City, not Quail Valley Proud.

🚗 October 23–30: One-Way Traffic Begins at 5 PM on Robinson Road (see map)
From October 23 through October 30, Nightmare on Candy Cane Lane will become a ONE-WAY street from 5 PM until approximately 10 PM.

Here’s what you need to know:
• ENTER: Robinson Road entrance
• EXIT: Glen Echo
• ALL vehicles, including golf carts, must follow the one-way route.
• NO PARKING along the street. Vehicles must keep moving.
• The left-hand side of the street will remain open for pedestrians and emergency vehicles.
• Owners – please try to schedule any lawn services, pool companies, etc. to be cleared out of this area by 4:30 for this week and Halloween. Also, please park all cars for your residence in your driveway.

🚔 Extra police will be on hand to help enforce the new traffic pattern.
And yes, this applies to residents, too! If you live on Candy Cane Lane, you’ll need to follow the same route as everyone else. No sneaking in from Glen Echo for a shortcut to your house—even if you live at that end! Sorry, neighbors! 😉

Crime Watch is a group of your fellow Quail Valley residents who volunteer just one hour a month to help keep our neighborhood safe. Volunteers patrol the community in pairs by driving, walking, riding a golf cart, or biking while keeping an eye out for anything that appears out of place.

We are currently seeking new Crime Watch volunteers who are willing to donate an hour each month. Of course, if you would like to volunteer for additional patrols, you are welcome to do so. Several of our current volunteers regularly participate in extra patrols.

🎄 Jingle All the Way – Because It’s Never Too Early to Start Thinking About Christmas!

For those of us who love climbing aboard the wagons and riding through the beautiful lights of Candy Cane Lane and Lollipop Loop, we want to make sure you know that the wagon rides will not be part of Jingle All the Way this year.

But don’t worry… Jingle is still jingling! 🔔

So, what will Jingle look like this year?

We’ve already set aside funds for a small show, but you know us… bigger is better in Texas! A drone show can cost as much as — or even more than — fireworks, and the more drones we can put in the sky, the bigger and more spectacular the designs can be.

Our goal is to raise an additional $5,000 to take the drone show to the next level. Every donation will help put more drones in the sky and create an even more impressive finale for our Jingle celebration.

🚨 Robinson Road Update! 🚨

A big THANK YOU to the Missouri City Police Department and Missouri City Fire Department for hosting a community meeting about the upcoming changes to Robinson Road — both for Halloween activities and the road construction project. We appreciate the time they took to answer questions and help our community prepare.

We know many residents are anxious to hear the details, so we wanted to share a few takeaways. Quail Valley Proud will share more information here on Facebook and through email once the City posts the official details and maps.

🎃 HALLOWEEN — Nightmare on Candy Cane Lane

Beginning October 23, Robinson Road at the corner of Robindale will become one-way into Nightmare on Candy Cane Lane, with the exit off of Glen Echo. This traffic change will begin around 5:00 p.m. each evening.

One lane will remain available for emergency vehicles and some pedestrian traffic.

On Halloween night, several streets in the area will be closed, while others will have parking restrictions. Maps were provided at the meeting, and once the City shares them publicly, we will share them as well.

🚧 ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Construction is scheduled to begin November 4 at the intersection of Robinson Road and El Dorado Boulevard.

The project from El Dorado to Hampton is expected to continue through mid-summer, so now is the time to start thinking about alternate routes and allowing a little extra time for your commute.

There were a lot more details discussed at last night’s meeting, but we wanted to give everyone a quick overview of what’s ahead. The City also emphasized that resident input will be considered as final plans are developed.

Once the City provides the updated plans, maps and additional details, Quail Valley Proud will share them with the community.
