The 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Event & Hike will be held Friday, September 11 at the University of Montana’s Phyllis J. Washington Amphitheatre near the “M” Trail.

🕤 9:30 AM — Memorial ceremony
🥾 10:30 AM — Remembrance Hike & bell ringing in honor of the fallen

🚒 A Special Event for First Responders 🇺🇸

Missoula Firefighters Local 271 and the Missoula Firefighters Benevolent Association are proud to partner with Missoula Children’s Theatre for a special staged reading of The Guys by Anne Nelson, commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Join us Wednesday, September 9 at 7:30 PM for a free final dress rehearsal for first responders. The performance features Missoula firefighter Bill Bennett and honors the courage, sacrifice, and stories of those lost on September 11, 2001.

🔥 Organizing Off Duty!

This spring, several of our members got together for an hrtc_hunt.tac long-range shooting course. It was a great opportunity to build camaraderie outside the station while sharpening skills and reinforcing safe, responsible shooting practices.

We’re fortunate at MFD to have a close-knit crew that enjoys spending time together both on and off duty. 💪🔥

🔥 In addition to supporting wildland efforts here in Montana, your Missoula Firefighters have members deployed in California.

One of our engines was assigned to the Milepost 18 Fire on Division Bravo, working alongside firefighters from across the region.

Strong work by our members deployed and representing Missoula on the fireline! 💪🔥

A Type 6 engine and three of our firefighters are assigned to the Sand Creek Fire as part of a Northwest Montana Strike Team, assisting with structure protection.

Last night, your Missoula Firefighters responded to a brush fire at an unhoused encampment behind City Lodge. Crews quickly knocked down the fire, preventing it from spreading and causing further damage.

Join us on Tuesday, August 11th for PaddleHeads Community Tuesday as the Missoula PaddleHeads partner with the Missoula Firefighters Benevolent Association. Through our ticket link, 100% of ticket revenue will be donated directly to the Benevolent Association, helping support firefighters and their families when they need it most.

🔥 California Deployment Update 🔥

Your Missoula Firefighters worked through the night on a new fire start in Sierra County, California. After a long shift on the line, the crew is back at it today, mopping up hotspots and patrolling dozer line to strengthen containment efforts.

We’re proud to support our partners in California and help protect communities and natural resources when they need it most.
