Community Resource Opportunity 💙💛

We’re sharing this upcoming event hosted by Notre Dame Federal Credit Union for families interested in learning more about special needs resources, including fellowship, local attorney insight, parent connections, and a Q&A session.

📅 Wednesday, June 24th
Session I - 5:30PM to 6:45PM
Session 2 - 7:15PM to 8:30PM

📍 St. Peter’s Pub, South Bend

Michiana Down Syndrome is not hosting this event, but we’re happy to share it as a helpful resource for our members and families.

We couldn’t let Teacher Appreciation Week come to a close without sharing our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible teachers who support, encourage, and believe in the amazing individuals with Down syndrome throughout our service area each and every day.

Your patience, compassion, creativity, and dedication help our loved ones learn, grow, and thrive. We appreciate all you do to make a difference in their lives and in our community. 💙💛🍎

Our Walk & Festival fundraising is kicking off, and we are once again accepting donations and themed gift baskets! 💙💛

These baskets and donations will be used for our silent auction and/or door prizes at the Walk & Festival. Last year’s baskets were a huge hit, and we would love to make this year’s even better!

🎁 Theme Basket Challenge
Create a themed basket such as Movie Night, Family Game Night, Coffee Lovers, Spa Day, Sports Fan, Baking Basket, Summer Fun, or anything creative you come up with!

Each completed basket counts as 2 volunteer hours toward your MDS Family Grant. Families need 6 volunteer hours to be eligible for the grant, up to $600 per year.

📅 Donations are due by September 9.

If you would like to donate a basket, gift card, or other item, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange pick-up or delivery.

Because of you, we’re able to create meaningful experiences, provide support across all ages, and build a stronger, more connected community.

We’re excited to share that, due to popular demand and the incredible experience we had together last year, we're heading back to the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend for our 2026 Walk & Festival! 🐾

Mark your calendars for October 3rd! We can’t wait to come together again for a day of connection, celebration, and support for our amazing community.

Enjoy live performances, hit the dance floor 👟, and have fun with music, friends, snacks, and a 50/50 raffle.
