This week, for the 29th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda, our president & founder will join the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center’s exhibit Stories of Survival at the United Nations to share her story.

ABC7 interviewed our president, Immaculee Songa, at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center exhibit Stories of Survival at Navy Pier - check out the exhibit before June 30th!

Immaculee Songa survived the Rwandan genocide 28 years ago. Many of her family members did not, including her husband and two young daughters.

Global Survivors for Peace, Inc. (GS4P) is parterning with the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center (IHMEC) for an exhibition scheduled for April 7, 2022 - June 30, 2022. The exhibition feature "Stories of Survivors at the Navy Pier in Chicago. The president and vice-president of GS4P organization will be present at the opening ceremony scheduled for April 7th and will be thrilled to greet our friends there and tour the exhibition with them. The president of the GS4P, a firsthand witness and survivor of the 1944 Genocide against the Tutsi will serve on a panel of conversation on the evening of June 8th, around 6:00 p.m. The conversation relates to the Exhibition and stories of survivors.

GS4P deeply values the work of the IHMEC as it raises awareness and educates the public on the history of the Holocaust and genocides. We see this organization as a champion for peace and support its work whenever we can.. Please come and tour the exhibition that tells the stories of survivors and serves as an educational tool calling the world to strive for a lasting peace.
