One of my favorite things about MAB is getting to support the next generation of builders, makers, problem-solvers, and hard workers right here in our area.

That’s what Tools for Schools is all about.

From June 15 through August 31, we’re collecting tools, safety gear, measuring tools, power tools, and shop/classroom supplies for local students pursuing careers in the skilled trades.

These students are learning the skills that keep our communities growing. Construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, carpentry, and so much more. A donated hammer, pair of safety glasses, tape measure, drill, or toolbox might seem small, but to a student just getting started, it can make a huge difference.

🏘️ Big news for North Dakota builders!

We're proud to support Don Dabbert Jr. in his campaign for 𝙽𝙰𝙷𝙱 3𝚛𝚍 𝚅𝚒𝚌𝚎 𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚒𝚛𝚖𝚊𝚗!

Don is the founder of Dabbert Custom Homes in Fargo, building 40+ homes a year across eastern ND and western MN. He started in this industry in 1992 and has spent over two decades giving back to it, from local president to ND State President to national leadership roles with NAHB.

He's a two-time North Dakota Builder of the Year, a BUILD-PAC Trustee, and a longtime advocate for workforce development and the future of our trade. (He even donated land for the NDSCS Career Innovation Center!)

Having a builder from our own backyard in national NAHB leadership is a big deal for all of us. Go Don!

This week, NAHB's Spring Leadership Meeting and Legislative Conference kicks off in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of home builders and industry leaders from across the country will be on Capitol Hill talking directly to their members of Congress about housing affordability, cutting red tape, and getting more homes built.

MAB members know this work matters. The policies being pushed at the federal level have a real impact on what we build right here in Minot.

House Approves Revised Housing Bill in Major Win for NAHB!

In a significant victory for NAHB and the broader housing sector, the U.S. House of Representatives approved an amendment to the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act that removes a build-to-rent (BTR) sales provision that would have hurt affordability and reduced much-needed housing supply.
