Aurora came to us as a referral from Animal Control for a family facing eviction in Aug 2024. She was living in a camper with her other 2 siblings (original litter size of 11) started out needing to learn leash skills and socialize with the world. Aurora had a patient owner who encouraged her through life as she learned how to live in a normal household.
In Aug 2026, Aurora was boarded for a couple weeks while her family figured out medical challenges in the home. Much to their heartbreak, it was discovered that their child was highly allergic to dogs and the only viable option to get him healthy again was to keep Aurora out of the home.
Hear what Aurora's foster mom has to say about her now. "She is a lady, that’s for sure. You’d never guess she’s only 2.5 yrs old!
Have kids? Good!! Adults are cool but she loves the littles way more 😅
Chickens, cats, small and large livestock? She doesn’t really care; they are just a friend 🥰
Need a look out partner? Need to know when that scary bike rider is back? Or when your parents show up 😜 She’s an alert barker! I love it haha it is not excessive (I’m not a dog barker person so I promise you it’s not bad haha)
She requires a belly scratch before giving up the toy 🤣🤣 (she says non-negotiable with the new family!)
Riding in the car? Very well mannered!! Will bark at people walking by."
Aurora comes with AEL's promise of her whole first year of core vet care expense covered by AEL, always welcome back if things don't work out, and free training through Dog Training With Kasey. To submit an application, please go to: tinyurl.com/AELAdoptionSquad
