Progress doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it’s choosing to keep going, asking for support, getting through a hard day, or trying again tomorrow.

Small steps are proof you’re still moving forward.

💙 WHAT A WEEK IT’S BEEN… AND IT’S ONLY TUESDAY! 💙

When we say recovery exists outside holidays, weekends, or office hours, we mean it! 🙌

Even with the holiday and offices closed, our Minot Care Coordinator was jumping into action when a participant needed help taking the next step in their journey — more than 140 miles away! 🚗

And that was just the beginning…

Later, Jeannie received a call from another participant who desperately needed a ride to treatment before sunrise the following morning. Without that ride, they risked losing their treatment bed. Without hesitation, and with very little sleep, Jeannie was back on the road early this morning to make sure that participant made it to treatment. đź’™

Meanwhile, the Minot office was full of walk-ins this morning, our team was catching up from the weekend, and there was still another trip to Turtle Lake this afternoon to help someone get to an appointment.

And if you thought that was enough for just two days into the week… think again! 💪

This evening, Earl and Stephan headed to the jail for our monthly men’s meeting, where they share hope, encouragement, and resources with individuals who are currently incarcerated.

THIS is what showing up looks like. This is what meeting people where they are, removing barriers, and walking alongside people through some of the most important moments of their lives looks like.

Sometimes, the next step in someone’s journey is 140 miles away. Sometimes, it’s a ride before sunrise. Sometimes, it’s simply knowing someone cares enough to show up when they need it most.

At F5 Project, we know that recovery doesn’t follow a schedule, and neither does the need for connection, compassion, and support.

To our team members who continue to go above and beyond — thank you for showing up, even when it’s inconvenient, exhausting, or outside normal business hours. Your actions are making a difference, one person and one step at a time. 💙

Because sometimes, the difference between someone getting their next chance and missing an opportunity is having someone willing to show up.

F5 Project - Minot hosted its monthly Re-Entry Supper last night. Thank you, Wade for sharing your story!

Last night at our Reentry & Connection Meal, we had the privilege of hearing from Wade Duchaine, who shared a powerful story of family, addiction, criminal justice involvement, and ultimately, redemption.

Wade spoke openly about being involved in the criminal justice system from the age of 13 and how addiction became deeply rooted in his family and his life. But his story didn’t end there.

Today, Wade’s focus is simple but powerful: being a good dad, being a good person, and giving back to the community he once felt lost in through criminal activity and addiction.

His story was a beautiful reminder that reentry is about so much more than coming home. It’s about reconnecting. Rebuilding relationships. Finding purpose. And becoming part of a community again.

Wade did an incredible job reminding us that people are more than their past, and that change is possible when someone is given the opportunity, support, and connection to create something different.

Thank you, Wade, for sharing your story and for reminding us why these conversations matter. ❤️

Your past may be part of your story, but it does not have to be the end of it.

From our F5 Project - Williston - Watford City office:

September is Recovery Month 🖤❤️

Meet Gina, Care Coordinator and Peer Support for the Williston an Watford City area.

"I've been thinking a lot about what recovery really means to me.

My story isn't a perfect one. I didn't get sober because life suddenly became easy. I got sober because I knew I couldn't keep living the way I was living.

Then life happened in ways I never could have imagined.

I lost my son, Tyler. I experienced a kind of grief I didn't know a person could survive. And I had a choice to make—would I go back to the things I once used to numb the pain, or would I learn to walk through the pain sober?

By God's grace, I chose to keep walking.

That doesn't mean I've never struggled. I've had hard days. I've questioned things. I've cried. I've wanted to understand why. But today, I don't have to drink to get through those moments.

God has slowly taken the broken pieces of my life and given them purpose.

The woman who once needed someone to believe in her now gets the privilege of sitting beside people who are struggling and saying, “I believe there is more for you.”

That's what recovery means to me.

And every day I get to help someone else find their way forward, I am reminded that God can use even the hardest parts of our story.

My past will always be part of my story. Tyler will always be part of my story. But neither one gets to write the ending.

I'm still here. I'm still sober. I'm still healing. And I'm still going.

If you're struggling today, please know this: your story isn't over. Keep going. ❤️
