The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on building the bond between humans and animals. Since then, we have rescued over 35,000+ dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal well-being organization! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper vete

rinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services. We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.

Calling all senior dog lovers... Jojo is still looking for her home 🥹🤍

Sweet Jojo joined our rescue nearly one year ago. And since then, she's a had a handful of applications... but they never seem to work out. She continues to be the second choice. The reason? Her age.

And we get it. Jojo is almost 14. But this girl has so much to offer in her senior years.

Her best day? Joining you for a leisurely walk, then settling in for a cozy afternoon. She’s the kind of companion who quietly steals your heart. She is lowkey and loving. Always content just being near you. Her favorite things? Those quiet moments just enjoying the sunshine with you (and her toys) 🥹

Her quality traits don't end there. She isn't a grumpy senior... she is wonderful with ALL humans (even those rambunctious kiddos)!

This August will mark one year of Jojo living with her foster. One year in rescue searching for a family to love her in her golden years.

Meet just a few of the people who help make our organization what it is 🥹🥰

Our team is filled with passionate people. People who wake up every single day wanting to say YES. Wanting to make a difference. Wanting to support people and pets.

And these people have always been like that. When we look at these childhood photos it's clear that they have always had a connection with animals. It didn't just appear one day. They have had that bond for through every part of life. The good and the bad.

That's the thing about animals. They are there for you in the dark and light moments. They are there when you're struggling and when you're happy. Animals were there to provide comfort to then when they needed it most.

When we look at our organization today, we see this story repeated over and over again. So many of our staff grew up with a companion animal who shaped them. A dog who helped them survive a difficult childhood. A cat who stayed beside them through loneliness or grief. A foster animal who taught them empathy, patience, or responsibility for the very first time.

A child may think they’re simply helping save an animal. But quietly, in the background, something else is happening too.

The animal is helping shape the child into someone who feels worthy of love, connection, and compassion... for others and for themselves ❤

At first glance, you see five adorable kittens… curled up in a food bowl for a photo. But what you don’t see is their story. What they’ve already been through in their short lives. What they survived.

We don't know everything about their story, but here is what we do know:

At one month old, everything they knew about life so far changed.

They ended up in this bowl, wet and scared, because they needed baths. Their tiny bodies were covered in soot and ash... they had just survived a house fire.

A couple of weeks ago, one of our local Tribal Partners brought them to us after rescuing them from a burning house. They weren't the only ones. There was another litter of kittens that were rescued from that same fire. Their little lungs had inhaled too much smoke and unfortunately, their small bodies didn't make it.

But these five did. These five got lucky. These five survived.

They came to us scared, dirty, and clinging to each other... the only thing that they still knew. After their bath, they spent the next handful of weeks in a foster home together. Growing. Playing. Just being kittens.

And now? Tigerclaw (on slide 6) is the only one of this crew that isn't pending adoption 🥹

This little crew came from ashes and now they're finding their families 🤍

Meet Sampson… the newest addition to the tripod club ❤️

Sampson joined our rescue in April with a bit of a bum leg. We don’t know exactly what happened to him before rescue, but we did know one thing… Sampson wasn’t going to let it slow him down.

At first, he was a little shy and unsure of the world around him. But once he settled into his foster home, his true puppy personality started to shine. Toys? Obsessed. Wrestling with friends? Absolutely. Snuggles? His specialty 🥰

In fact, one of Sampson’s favorite things in the entire world is curling up next to you and staring lovingly into your eyes like you’re the greatest thing he’s ever seen 🥹

After surgery, Sampson adapted to tripod life faster than anyone expected. Without his injured leg holding him back, he was much more comfortable and free to just be a pup.

And as it turns out, having only three legs comes with a pretty cool advantage...

Sampson has mastered the art of contorting his little body into the perfect position to get even closer during cuddle time 😂

Thank you to our friends for showing up for Sampson. Because of you, he was able to receive the surgery he needed to live his healthiest and happiest life ❤️

As 2026 continues to fly by, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything we accomplished together in 2025… because it’s a whole lot of good 🥰

But, these are more than just numbers and statistics on a page... these are families who found hope when they needed it most. Pets who got a second chance. Communities that came together.

These numbers represent all the lives that were changed in 2025… all because of YOU ❤️

Every adoption, every pet fed, every reunion, every rescue, every volunteer hour, every donation… each one created a ripple. All of those individual ripples continue to come together to make a wave of change. A wave of hope. A wave of supporting people and their pets.

2026 is already well under way with many amazing accomplishments… we can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together during the rest of the year (and for many years to come!) 🫶

A lot can change in just 30 days 🥹🥰

These five pups joined our rescue at the end of April with their mama. All of the pups had sever mange when they were brought to our rescue partners.

Their MN fosters spent the last month loving them, giving them the proper medical hair, and getting them ready to find their future families. And just look at them now 🥹😭

Their fur is growing back and they are just normal, silly pups 🥰

For 74 days, Angel has been waiting.

She came into rescue in the middle of March, with her sister, Star. Star found her adoptive family quickly… but Angel? She’s still waiting.

She’s had zero applications and no one has expressed interest in her. And honestly? We’re shocked.

On paper, Angel checks every box. She's great with dogs, other cats, and with kids. And she’s litter box trained!!

But if you ask us, those are the least interesting things about her.

Angel is a gentle and affectionate girl with the sweetest soul. She can be a little shy when meeting new people or exploring new places, but once she feels safe… her personality begins to shine ✨

She LOVES belly rubs, enjoys exploring at her own pace, and loves to have lengthy conversations about your day! You need to vent about your coworker? Angel will happily gossip back with you 😜

Once she feels safe and begins to trust you, you will feel her love… because sometimes the animals who take a little longer to trust are the ones who love the deepest when they finally do 🥹

It’s Friday night… so it’s only fitting that we introduce you to Mama Martini and her tiny tinis 🍸🥰

Martini came to rescue with her newborn babies and has been raising all ten puppies ever since. As a nod to their mama, each little is named after a classic martini garnish or mix-in… meet the crew:

Puppies often steal the spotlight, which leaves mama dogs to be overlooked and spend more time finding their homes. That’s why it makes us especially happy to share that Martini already has adoption applications coming in 🥹💛

She has done an incredible job caring for her babies, but at just 2 years old it’s time for her to be a baby again!

Rescue takes a community to make change. And our community always steps up.

Our friends at have stepped up yet again… this time to support the Ridglan Beagles.

Loon is just one example of that. From being shy and timid to bouncing around the backyard and finding his howl. The best thing? He found his new family and will even have a doggo sibling 🥰
