👋🏻 Meet the characters!

Next up is the pickle goblin! Played by .ok , the pickle goblin loves a sour treat and doesn’t always have a good handle on the laws of physics. They do an excellent contraction and may or may not have danced for the Martha Graham company in a previous life. Will they manage to free their hand from the pickle jar? Only one way to find out 😏

Will we see you this weekend?

👋🏻 Meet the characters!

First up is Hershel, formally known as Hershel of Ostropole. Played by , Hershel is known for his cunning wit, slightly inflated ego, and sweet dance moves (to be clear, as far as we know there’s no historical record of Hershel’s dancing ability, we’re just assuming 😏).

Twin Cities here we come! Little Tanz Theater is thrilled to once again present ✨Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins✨, an original family-friendly Yiddish and contemporary dance adaptation of the classic children’s book by Eric Kimmel and Trina Schart Hyman. Featuring live klezmer music from Hershel’s Ostropoler Kaplye and a multi-generational cast of dance artists, this lively production will have you dancing in your seat (or the aisles!).

This production uses movement and pantomime to tell the story of how Hershel outwits a pack of Hanukkah-hating goblins. Re-read the book before you come to catch all the insider details 🤓

Huge gratitude also to the team and community at Temple Israel in Duluth for hosting us at Kabbalat Shabbat and all-around supporting our visit so enthusiastically. Lots more images to come, but for now enjoy a sneak peak of a few shots from the inimitable 📸 , a special entrance made possible by Studio 4’s very special history (it used to be the luggage room for immigrants arriving in Duluth!), and a first look at
