Did you know there are more than 300 different sign languages currently used around the world? Sign languages belong to different language families. For example, Australian Sign Language (Auslan), British Sign Language (BSL), and New Zealand Sign Language belong to the same family, while American Sign Language (ASL) is part of a completely different family.
