Camp Minnesota - Wildfire and Air Quality Update

Our Camp Minnesota team continues to closely monitor the wildfires, smoke and air-quality conditions affecting Northern Pines Camp, Koronis Ministries and KoWaKan Adventures. The safety and well-being of our campers, families and staff remain our highest priorities.

At Northern Pines Camp and Koronis Ministries, air-quality procedures have been implemented in response to elevated smoke levels. Campers are spending more time indoors in air-filtered spaces, and outdoor activities are being limited or adjusted. As conditions improve, staff will continue adapting activities while closely monitoring the air quality.

Even though we've moved activities indoors — campers are still having a wonderful time at camp - playing games, doing crafts, spending time in Bible study and worship, and growing community!

At KoWaKan Adventures near Ely, the Boundary Waters has been closed because of several active wildfires. While the camp is included within an evacuated area, no fires are currently posing an immediate threat to the property. There are no campers or staff at the site, and no groups are traveling into the Boundary Waters. KoWaKan will remain empty until evacuation orders are lifted and camp leaders determine that it is safe to return.

We are so grateful for our camp directors and their teams, the firefighters and emergency personnel responding to these fires, and everyone keeping our campers, staff and ministries in their prayers.

Bring-a-Friend for double the fun and $50 off your program fee at Koronis Ministries Camp & Retreat Center, Northern Pines Camp & Retreat Center, and Kowakan Adventures!

The Bring-a-Friend Discount has doubled! Campers will now receive $50 off the price of their camp for each new camper that they bring to camp! (New campers are those who have not been to any Camp Minnesota event in the past three years)

We believe every camper should have access to the joy, adventure, friendship, and faith-building community of camp. That’s why we offer discounts, incentives, and need-based camperships to help make camp possible for more families.

Camperships are designed to work alongside support from local churches, family contributions, and other sources to help cover the cost of one camp program each year.

It's easy to see how much energy and joy Blake brings to camp! He shared with us one of the top things he has learned during his time on camp staff:

"What I've learned from working at camp is how to build relationships with people from any age. You work with a wide variety of people and it's all great. I love to see new faces and get to know them."
