It's a long, winding story so we'll cut to (almost) the chase.

Pastor Jerry and Cindy Cho gifted Sunday's altar flowers to brighten the day of Linda Kreider, who recently moved into a new apartment.

As we know, the Chos have a cat and that cat would have destroyed these lovely flowers that Kitty Schaefer coordinated. And Cindy also didn't want the flowers to go to waste.

Turns out Linda loves yellow roses.

God has a plan for everything!

As Milwaukee Metro Area people, we are invited to Bethany-Calvary United Methodist Church at N 73rd and Center Street, Wauwatosa, for a celebratory Juneteenth classic spiritual music festival and hymn sing.

Join Pastor Brady Henderson as well as Pastor Francois Russell from Albright UMC for this informal hymn sing, which also features Juneteenth themed organ and piano music from AGO Organist Michael Ho**ig.

All are welcome and the event is free. The evening is a musical celebration filled with singing rather than speeches or sermons, as we connect with our shared church heritage and sing the songs of liberation.

This month, we remember the words of emancipation and are reminded of the
ongoing work to resist injustice and oppression. We pray that more and more of God's vision of freedom and equality for all will be realized. Let us pray together.

Something special for all our music lovers!

You are invited to a special afternoon of music with trumpeter Dr. Carlot Dorve.

Dr. Dorve is an accomplished performer and educator whose musical journey includes degrees from Michigan State University, Pennsylvania State University School of Music, and a doctorate in music education from the University of Missouri. He currently teaches and performs at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, sharing his passion for both classical and jazz trumpet with students of all ages.

A seasoned soloist, Dr. Dorve has performed with orchestras, chamber groups, and ensembles across the country. His work also includes recording for national and international television and collaborating with musicians of diverse backgrounds and abilities. His teaching experience spans K–12 general music, college level jazz ensembles, and private trumpet instruction.

Join us for this free community recital on Sunday, June 28th, at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary.
