At the Chris Kegel Foundation, we believe access to a bicycle means access to freedom, confidence, community, and opportunity.

Through our Bike Donation Initiative, donated bikes are repaired, refreshed, and placed back into the hands of kids and adults who need them most. Whether it’s transportation to work, a way to explore Milwaukee’s trails, or a child’s first ride — your donation makes a direct impact.

Here at the Chris Kegel Foundation, we believe that bikes help make the world a better place. While bikes can’t solve all of our world’s problems, they sure can make our lives more fun. Everyone can enjoy riding a bike. Everyone gets that same smile while coasting down hills. This year more than ever, we are proud of the progress we are making to help more folks feel welcome in our amazing bike community.

As we reflect on what we’re grateful for this season, we’re reminded of the power of community—the very heart of the Chris Kegel Foundation. Your passion for cycling and dedication to inclusivity keeps Chris’s legacy alive, and we’re excited to share an opportunity to make an even greater impact.

Your daily dose of good news! Local change means good things are happening in your area.

This year to celebrate 10 years of the Chris Kegel Foundation we have donated $20,000 to the Milwaukee Parks Foundation to help with more wayfinding and signage of our local bike trails(paved and mountain bike trails in the County).

The project is in action. The first signs are going up on the Oak Leaf Trail at Doyne Park!!

We can’t wait to see all the signs going up during the project. We hope to help you find your way 💛.
