Our troop had a great time this evening playing Putt-Putt!

-The adults beat the kids average score.
-Ms Courtney won overall best score
-Sol had best score of the kids
-Brandon, Sol, and Mr. Chris each got a hole-in-one

The rain may have won round one… but it didn’t win the war. ⛳️

Scoutmaster Matt was absolutely HEARTBROKEN that he never got the chance to show these Scouts what true putt-putt prowess looks like. 😢😂

So we’re back at it! 624 Putt-Putt Challenge — RESCHEDULED!

A heartfelt thank you to Father Adrian and all the parishioners at St. Barnabas for welcoming Troop 624 to Mass Saturday evening.

After Mass, Father Adrian took the time to sit down with our Scouts and answer the many questions they had. What a great opportunity for the boys to learn, ask questions, and experience another expression of faith firsthand.

Afterward, we enjoyed ice cream together at Dairy Queen. One Scout also demonstrated the Scout spirit by living out the principle of “Do a Good Turn Daily.” When an elderly woman accidentally locked her keys inside her vehicle, he crawled through the locked vehicle to help retrieve them.

We are very appreciative of the hospitality extended to us this weekend and grateful for the opportunity to worship alongside the St. Barnabas community.

A Scout is Reverent. ⛪️⚜️

Before packing it all up and pointing the trucks toward home, there was time for one last paddle across beautiful Lake Jocassee—and, of course, we couldn’t leave without the annual 6️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ Armada photo! 🛶🛶🛶⚜️

One last look at the mountains.
One last paddle across the water.
One last adventure together.

We made it back across, loaded up the trailer, wrangled the gear, accounted for everybody (and hopefully everything 😂), and put the truck in the wind.

Another Troop 624 adventure in the books. 📖

Tired? Yep.
Dirty? Absolutely.
Already talking about the next trip? You know it.

🔥 LIFE AROUND CAMP 🏕️

Sure, Lake Jocassee is incredible. The water is beautiful, the paddling is awesome, and the adventures are hard to beat…

But some of the best parts of a Scout trip happen back at camp.

Hanging dining flies. 🍽️
Cooking and eating together.
Playing cards and cutting up around camp. 🃏
Celebrating a Scout’s birthday with birthday cookies! 🎂
Telling stories. Laughing way too much.
And warming your bum by the campfire after a little nighttime water war on the lake. 🔥🌊😂

It’s the simple stuff that makes these trips special.

Because at Troop 624, we don’t just go places together—we do life together. We work together, play together, laugh together, and make memories that will stick around long after the tents come down.

We really do have the best time together… as a TROOP. ⚜️❤️

And honestly, that’s what Scouting is all about.
