Anna's Hope Veterinary Clinic

10/20/2026

This week we celebrate Vet Tech Week and these 3 pictured here are some of the best and Anna's Hope Veterinary Clinic would not be the clinic it is without each of them
Behind every amazing vet (which we have with Dr. Wilfert) is an amazing team of vet techs that do so so much behind the scenes , they are not just the person you see holding your pet for vaccines or getting all their up to date information when we put you in a room - these girls are the ones that put towels in the dryer if they think your pet might be cold or scared to try and comfort them, these girls are the ones down in the floor laying with your pet when they are scared and confused telling them everything is going to be okay as they pet them gently, these girls are the ones that hold the pet of someone that could not stay with their pet to say goodbye , these girls are the ones that carried the paralyzed pet outside just so it can get some fresh air even though we are crazy busy, these are the girls that monitor your pets meticulously while it is under anesthesia and do not leave your pets side until it is awake, these are the girls that will never forget a pets little quirks and because of that , it makes their vet visits much less stressful for the pet, these are the girls that gently wash your pet if they have an accident and tell them that is okay, these are the girls that talk to your pets like they are their own and love them like they are their own, these are the girls that discharge your pets and answer any questions you have and they make sure you have everything you need before you walk out our door, these are the girls that make sure everything is ready for the next day, these are the girls mopping the floors at the end of the day and the list goes on. These girls are the back bone of our clinic and we are not just a team - we are family and we are beyond blessed to have each of them
Andrea, Alex and Ashley - we love you and we appreciate each of you more than we can put into words. Thank you for being amazing, thank you for helping us make a dream a reality and thank you for going above and beyond every day

If you are visiting the clinic this week - be sure to thank them - the work they do is hard and sometimes a quick thank you is appreciated more than you know.

Our first TNR day this past Saturday was a huge success - we wanted to keep it under 20 cats as it was our first time and we had some appointments scheduled as well before we decided to to TNR day - so we had 18 scheduled and 2 could not be caught so we ended up doing 16 - all were spayed/neutered, Combo tested and a big YAY because all were negative, everyone got a flea treatment, dewormed, ear tipped and a Rabies vaccine - a few had ear mites, so those were treated as well.
A big thank you to Dr. Wilfert, Ashley, Alex, Sharon, Aubrey, Averee, Shelby and we had the amazing Dr. Sosby come in for the day to help us
Amazing day filled with amazing people wanting to make a difference.
We will be doing another TNR day in January - so stay tuned for that date

And we have another special program coming up in November - so stay tuned for that - this one is for dogs and cats :)

(And yes the little orange babies we declared "Not So Feral" but none the less they wont be reproducing )

We forgot to post on Bosses Day. Here is our boss - the one and only Dewey. He keeps us on our toes for sure - in fact we are getting ready to have shirts made for the staff with his picture that says “ Dammit Dewey” because we do say that quite frequently like when he sends emails randomly, turns our laptops on to airplane mode , sticks his face in our cheesecake , slaps us if he wants our food and the list goes on. He is kind of a demanding boss but we love him 😂

As we get ready to hit the official 3 month anniversary of the opening of Anna's Hope Vet Clinic, I thought to myself , I wonder how many clients have entered that door and tonight I learned that number - 958 - some have come through that door many times but 958 is the number of clients that we have entered into the system and we have seen their pet or numerous pets in less than 3 months.
I knew we would be busy , but not sure any of us knew just how busy , but every single day we enter that clinic with a smile and know that we are going to be faced with a busy day , because every single day is busy , but we also know that we have some of the most amazing clients and we love their precious pets like they are their own. Today a very special boy that is facing a pretty serious medical issue was leaving after spending the day with us and I ran out the door to tell him bye and told him I loved him and his dad said you have no idea how much that means to me that you guys love your patients so much and we honestly do.
Tomorrow we have a full day of TNR for the community - just one of the many things we plan on doing to try and do more for our community and in time we will be starting some other programs but honestly from Day 1 we hit the ground running and we have not slowed down.
Our team is nothing short of amazing. Next week is Vet Tech Week and we are so proud of our technicians and can't wait to celebrate them next week.
At the end of the day we are tired, but our hearts are full - some days are stressful , some days are very long, some days we make the impossible happen, but not matter what at the end of the day - this clinic is doing exactly what we set out to do, we are providing affordable quality vet care , we are helping people that have given up hope of getting help for their pets, we are lending an ear to our clients when they just need someone to listen and some days a client just needs to give you a hug with a big sigh of relief that their pet is getting the care they need and that is when you smile and say this is why we do what we do.
Thank you to all that have believed in us from Day 1 , supported us and continue to recommend us to people . Together we are making a difference.

And as promised - we said we would do what we could to help the community with feral colonies and that time is here - we are referring to our first TNR Day as the "Feral As Hell Fall Tour" and it is happening this coming Saturday 10/17/26 and all day we will be doing surgeries and thankfully we have another vet volunteering their time to come help us - so we can make more surgeries happen as of course Dr. Wilfert will be there as well
How it works:

Go to our website www.annashopeveterinaryclinic.com and fill out the Feral Spay/Neuter Form - once we receive that form we will be contacting everyone this week on instructions for Saturday. First rule is that this for FERAL CATS only and they must come to us in a trap

The cost per cat is $40.00 and this includes Spay/Neuter, Ear Tip, Deworming, FIV/FELV Combo Tested, Rabies vaccine and pain injection

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected]

And this is just the beginning as we have so many ideas for future events to help in the community more but we are starting with TNR Day and our goal is to continue doing them

Sorry for the late update, the days are so full at the clinic before I know it , by the time I sit down it is after 11pm. Sweet Maggie is holding her own. We know the next week is critical for her healing but new are basically taking it hour by hour. She is stable and we are optimistic but we also know that these kinds of cases can turn south quickly but Maggie is a warrior and she is giving it all she has and so are we. Thank you again to everyone that donated to her care. We appreciate you and Maggie and her family appreciate you
