Dear God’s Closet Shoppers,
It has been a true honor to serve our community providing Children’s Clothing for the last decade. We have had the privilege to get to know some of you quite well through the years.
Even though we will no longer have God’s Closet Shop Day’s at the Mills River Church we wanted to do everything that we could to continue to provide clothing for your children in the best possible way. We have met with the Fletcher Seventh-day Adventist Church and even though we will not be able to pass it to them as God’s Closet they will continue to provide your children with clothing through their thrift store. It will be the same lovely clothes that we have provided for you over the years.
Lollipops High End Consignment Shop has agreed to donate to Fletcher Thrift store since we will no longer need the clothing for God’s Closet. Lollipops also have a good supply of toys that we could not hand out at Mills River, but Fletcher Thrift store will be able to have them available for you.
On the upside, even though you will be asked to pay for the clothes ($10 per paper grocery bag, that give you space for a lot of clothing) you will not have to wait 3 months for a Shop Day. The thrift store will be open every Tuesday from 10am-4pm. You will be able to shop for adult clothing as well as Children’s clothing, household items, toys, books etc. They also have a food pantry as a part of the thrift store that is open 1pm-4pm every Tuesday.
Fletcher Thrift Store is a non-profit organization and helps other charities in our community such as Interfaith Ministries, Safelight (for abused women), Open Arms Pregnancy Center and others. They are also available to help families deal with natural disasters such as flooding or fires, etc.

If you do want to continue to shop at a God’s Closet the nearest one is in Spartanburg,
SC. They have a very large and well-organized God’s Closet. I know you would have a great shopping experience with them. You can find them on Facebook at God’s Closet – Spartanburg. Their next shop day is scheduled for March 29, 9:30 – 1:00.
