National Su***de Prevention Month.
Did You Know?!

September is National Su***de Prevention Month, and it's a reminder that checking in matters more than you may realize. A simple conversation, a listening ear, or letting someone know you're there for them can make a real difference. You don't need to have all the answers. Showing up with care, concern, and support is a powerful place to start.

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available 24/7. Call or text 988 to connect with the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

👀 Perception matters.

When young people perceive a substance as less dangerous, it can influence how they think about using it.

In 2022, about 1 in 5 10th graders, 1 in 4 11th graders, and 1 in 3 12th graders in Region 3 viewed ma*****na as “not very” or “not at all” dangerous for someone their age.

These numbers remind us why prevention education and open conversations matter. 💬

Start the conversation. Share the facts. Help young people make informed choices.
