Today was an incredible day for prayers and healing! Not only did we serve a total of 704 but we fed the souls of many! Being the hands and feet of Jesus is what we are called to be! Some ask for simple prayers while others ask for miracles only He can perform. It’s thru our faith that we see these miracles take place.

Anthony broke his foot and was in massive pain. It’s by faith we know our Jesus heals! After several prayers he went from intolerable pain to no pain and able to put weight on his foot and move his toes around. God is a healing God!

Out being the hands and feet of Jesus and met this beautiful lady. This is Leah. Her and her husband Jerry and 3 kids (older teens) lost their home in a fire a few months back and lost everything. Due to the circumstances they have been living in this van since that day. She shared with me how she used to go out and feed the homeless and never imagined she’d become one. We prayed over her and her family and then invited her to join us at church tomorrow.

Jess gave the message today on the Armor of God, specifically the Sword of the Spirit. Most people pray on their armor but they don’t arm themselves with the sword of the spirit. Do you know your Word? Can you stand against the wiles of the devil? If not, study the Word and etch it on your heart so you have it at your ready when you come under attack! WEAR YOUR SWORD

Today our small group served over 300 warm meals and 300 to go bags of snacks and hygiene to the homeless in Dallas. With it storming outside the people flocked to the street church to get out of the rain while being served a warm meal. One even told us “it was the best meal I’ve had”!

Thank you to our small group that showed up as well as Making It Count volunteers. A special thank you to the school co-op Angela Aaron that donated hygiene bags with special hand written notes for all, a very special touch!

Winter weather is fast approaching and the homeless become very vulnerable trying to stay warm. This is a serious situation. Let’s not forget we are all human and none of us would want to be stuck out in this cold. Sowing Seeds Rescue Mission is shifting our focus to an immediate need. Multiple days of freezing temperatures are coming and our neighbors experiencing homelessness need your help!! 🙏🏼

Most-needed winter items right now:
- Large, warm blankets
- Sleeping bags (rated for freezing temperatures, if possible)
- Warm hats / ear muffs
- Warm gloves / mittens
- Thick socks (men & women — new if possible)
- Hand warmers
- Jackets / coats
- Sturdy bags to carry bulky items
- Tents (if new or like-new)
- Fire logs

Want to help fastest? Monetary donations help us purchase exactly what’s needed before the cold hits. When the unsheltered are displaced, they often lose all other items they acquired and this puts them at a real risk in these extremely cold and persistent temperatures.

If you are out and about and see a homeless person please ask how you can help or offer them a ride to a warming station. They are throughout the city in most shelters and churches.
