💜 INTERNATIONAL OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY — AUGUST 31 💜

REMEMBER. SUPPORT. PREVENT.

On International Overdose Awareness Day, we pause to REMEMBER the lives lost to overdose, SUPPORT those who are still struggling and the families who walk beside them, and PREVENT future loss through education, connection, compassion, and recovery support.

At REACH Recovery Communities, we provide recovery support for youth and young adults ages 13–25. Whether someone is beginning their recovery journey, needs encouragement, resources, one-on-one peer support, or simply needs someone in their corner — you don't have to recover alone.

💜 We remember those we have lost.
🤝 We support those who are still here.
🫶 We work together to prevent overdose and save lives.

Recovery is possible. Connection matters. No one should have to walk this journey alone.

📍 August 30, 12pm-6pm, The Painted Rose will be donating our time and 100% of our proceeds to Reach Council of Johnson and surrounding counties. As a surviving adult who battled and overcame addiction and mental health most of my life, it is our duty to give back to the youth and young adults who may be struggling with some of the issues that we deal with, not only as parents, friends, and family, but community.

With that being said we are looking forward to helping the cause and supporting our future with the younger generations that need our help. So please make sure to make an appearance either to get a tattoo, donate or simply show your support. We will have a rep on site accepting on behalf of Reach.

🌱 Motivation Monday: It's Okay to Outgrow Things

Growth often requires letting go.

It's okay to outgrow friendships that pull you backward.

Choosing a healthier life doesn't mean you're leaving people behind—it means you're refusing to leave yourself behind.

Don't apologize for becoming who you were created to be.

Our REACH Recovery Team spent two days this week learning, connecting, and growing alongside peer recovery support providers from across Texas! ❤️

Opportunities like this give our team the chance to share ideas, learn from the experiences of others, strengthen partnerships, and bring new knowledge and resources back to the youth, young adults, and families we serve.

Recovery support is stronger when we work together—and we’re grateful to be part of a statewide community committed to helping people find hope, connection, and their own path to recovery.
