Today, Reach Recovery Communities and Reach Across Hill County had the privilege of partnering with the Hillsboro Police Department to provide overdose awareness and Narcan training for their staff. This training equips officers with the knowledge and tools needed to safely administer and distribute Narcan, helping save lives in our community.

We are incredibly grateful for the men and women of law enforcement who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. Thank you for being on the frontlines, serving with courage, compassion, and dedication every day. Your commitment to protecting and supporting our community does not go unnoticed.

Together, through education, prevention, and partnership, we can make a difference and bring hope to those who need it most. 💙🚔 .hill

Mental Health Awareness Month 🩵

Don’t bottle it up.

A lot of young people in recovery are carrying battles nobody sees—anxiety, depression, anger, fear, shame, loneliness, trauma, pressure to “look okay,” and the weight of trying to stay strong all the time.

But healing begins when you stop suffering in silence.

You were never meant to carry it all alone. Talking to someone is not weakness. Asking for help is not failure. Feeling emotions does not make you “too much.” It makes you human.

Recovery is more than staying sober—it’s learning how to heal mentally, emotionally, and spiritually too. One honest conversation can change everything.

Your story matters.
Your feelings matter.
Your life matters.

Keep fighting. Keep showing up. One day at a time. 💚

💚 ❤️

💚 Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can tell someone is this:
You matter. You are seen. You are heard. And your life has purpose.
At REACH Recovery, we believe that every voice matters—even the ones that feel quiet, overlooked, or forgotten. You don’t have to carry everything alone. There is strength in speaking up, in reaching out, and in allowing others to walk alongside you.
A simple check-in, a kind word, or reminding someone they are important can make a bigger impact than we realize.
If you’re struggling, we see you.
If you feel unheard, we’re listening.
If you’re walking through something heavy, you don’t have to do it alone.
Let’s be a community that lifts each other up, speaks life, and reminds one another of their worth. 💬✨

Healing isn’t linear ✨
Some days you’re strong.
Some days you’re stuck.
Some days you have to ask for help… again.

And that’s okay.

Recovery is a journey—
learning to sit with discomfort,
pushing through obstacles,
navigating slips,
and still choosing to keep going.

There is growth in every step, even the hard ones.

You’re not behind.
You’re not failing.
You’re becoming. 🦋

Lean into community.
Give yourself grace.
Keep moving forward—one step at a time.

Relapse vs. Slip-Up

Let’s talk about it… because this matters.

A slip-up is a moment.
A relapse is a pattern.

A slip says: “I messed up.”
A relapse says: “I’m stuck here.”

But hear this —
one mistake does NOT erase your progress.

You are not back at square one.
You are not everything you used to be.
You are still growing, still fighting, still becoming.

The difference is what you do next 👇
👉 Do you hide… or reach out?
👉 Do you give up… or get back up?
👉 Do you stay stuck… or choose different?

Recovery isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being honest, accountable, and willing to keep going.

Don’t let a slip turn into a story that isn’t yours anymore.

Get back up. You’re still in this. 💪

April is Alcohol Awareness Month.

But for some of us… this isn’t just awareness.
This is personal.

To the youth choosing recovery right now — your decision matters.
Every “no” you say is a “yes” to your future.
Every step you take away from alcohol is a step toward freedom.

I know it’s not always easy.
There are pressures, triggers, and moments where going back feels easier…

But you weren’t created to stay stuck in cycles.
You were created for purpose, for peace, and for something greater.

Recovery isn’t about missing out —
it’s about gaining your life back.

You are strong.
You are not alone.
And your story is still being written. 💛

If you’re struggling, reach out. If you’re standing strong, keep going.
We’re in this together.
