I'm spending time over the next few days learning about Positive Community Norms - in other words, what is RIGHT with ourselves, our families, and our community. These are the things that our community coalition can focus on. One of the many amazing quotes I've heard this morning - "If you want to see health, you have to grow health." This means not just focusing on "fixing" what's wrong but expanding what's right. So pumped!

This past Saturday, we REACHed Across Hillsboro at the 61st Annual Bonds Alley Art Festival. I had some amazing conversations ranging from learning about parent's experiences with monitoring their teen's cell phone use, accessible playground equipment, up and coming community spaces and much, much more. Creating environments where people feel safe, connected, and healthy IS substance misuse prevention, and we are here to support Hillsboro (and everyone in Hill County) in that.

Thanks to Hillsboro Arts League and Hillsboro Texas Main Street for the amazing event, and to everyone who contributed to our artwork.

Nearly a year of dedication, learning, and growth = officially a Leadership Hillsboro graduate as of last Friday! 🎓

We didn't just learn about leadership; we put it into action. Our class goal was to leave a lasting mark, and we did just that by raising the funds for new benches and tables at Wallace Park. 🌳✨

To my friends, family, and colleagues who supported me through this journey: thank you from the bottom of my heart.
