Behind that number are children waiting for something every child deserves: a safe, loving, permanent family.

The need is great, but so is the opportunity for the Church to respond.

Back to school is here!

For many children, that means new backpacks, first day pictures, and excitement for the year ahead. But as Garrett shares in this video, for some children, returning to school can mean something much more significant: someone finally sees what they’ve been experiencing.

After a summer away, children are once again around teachers and other trusted adults who may recognize signs that something isn’t right and help connect them with the support they need.

Caring for children in difficult situations is something Garrett and Andrea know personally. In their book, The View From Here, they share stories from their family’s foster care journey and what they’ve learned along the way about stepping into the lives of hurting children.

We have seen the depravity of man on full display at our Texas-Mexico border. Spanish speaking kids stuck in foster care, homeless unaccompanied minors, the vulnerable being trafficked, and some of the highest poverty in our country.

However God is at work through the churches and we are rallying leaders to pray, give, and go bring more Hope at the Border.
