As Foster Care Awareness Month comes to an end, the need and mission do not.

Children will still enter into foster care. Foster families will continue to need support. Churches will still have opportunities to step into the gap tomorrow.

Their sacrifice reminds us of the cost of freedom and the importance of living with gratitude, compassion, and purpose.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember those who never made it home and we pray for the families who carry their memory every day. 🇺🇸

Mental health is an important part of the conversation around foster care and adoption.

Many vulnerable children carry trauma long before they ever enter a safe and loving home. Healing does not happen overnight, and foster and adoptive families need support as they walk alongside children through that journey.

Scripture reminds us in Galatians 6:2 to “carry each other’s burdens,” and that is exactly what the Church has the opportunity to do. Through prayer, encouragement, practical support, and consistent love, we can help children and families experience hope and healing.❤️

Nearly 60% of children enter foster care due to neglect.

Often, neglect does not begin with parents who do not love their children.
It begins with families in crisis and no one around to help carry the burden.
