The other day, coaches and members of Elevate Volleyball stopped by to receive an equipment donation we provided them. Elevate is a club volleyball organization in West Branch that is brand new and its owner is VERY excited about it! We were happy to purchase some equipment for them, and can't wait to see how they do this season.

Currently, Elevate has two teams, with ages ranging from 13 to 16. Coming from a more rural area, opportunities for sports like volleyball aren't as accessible for kids, and Abigail and the rest of the team at Elevate are looking to change that for their area. They already have some tournaments planned that will take them around the State, and we can't wait to see where they go!

Yesterday, we met players from the Lady Batmen 11U travel softball team. A sponsorship was requested on their behalf, and every one of the girls was very surprised with a $1,000 check for their team!

These girls have only played a handful of years, but most have played together for that time. They must be doing something right, they ended their last season with over forty wins!

Today, we met with representatives from the Midland Board of Realtors, Inc (MBOR), who presented us with the single-largest donation we have EVER received from a single source.

We received a check for over $15,000 from them. $15,069.32, to be exact! This came from their golf outing fundraiser earlier this month. We were nominated by a third party to be the recipient of their golf outing proceeds, and we feel extremely fortunate to have been selected.

Not only is this our largest received donation, but also the most money raised at an MBOR golf outing!

We would like to thank not only Jennifer, Taylor, and the rest of the MBOR planning committee for putting on such an awesome event, but also everyone who came out and was a part of it. Your support will be put to good use for Youth-based organizations, teams, goals, and programs in the Great Lakes Bay Community.

The other day, players from the Lady Explorers 10U softball team stopped by for a firehouse tour...and received some AWESOME goody bags at the end of it!

Unknown to them, a sponsorship request was made on their behalf for sports equipment. We were happy to oblige them and purchased new helmets and game bags for each of the girls. So once their firehouse tour was over, they were all ushered into the Training Room of the City of Midland Fire Department - Michigan Station 1, and saw the REAL reason for their visit! Their faces could be described with words, but we feel that pictures tell a better story.

Hopefully with this new gear, this new team can start their upcoming '26-'27 season with a bang...and a few home runs, too!

Bullock Creek's Equestrian team stopped in the other day to receive a sponsorship check for their upcoming season, and even though it has started, their first competition isn't for a few weeks. They are looking forward to the upcoming year, especially since they will be competing in their backyard, the Midland County Fairgrounds!

Bullock Creek has nine riders this year, and two grooms. Most of them have been riding since they were little, so within the team there is a lot of riding and farm experience.

The other day, we welcomed players from Lady Batmen Softball to the Midland Fire Department. A sponsorship request was made on their behalf and on behalf of the rest of the association. This sponsorship will help support families of players who need financial assistance with team and equipment fees, and to make travel softball less of an obstacle. It is the position of both this organization and the Youth Foundation that money should not be a limiting factor when all these kids want to do is play ball.

The Lady Batmen have teams with age ranges from 8u to 18u, and with the Michigan Batmen baseball teams, are projected to have over 200 kids play and be a part of this huge organization. We are proud to help them with their upcoming season, and we wish them the best!

We are so very lucky to be a part of this year's Midland Board of Realtors annual golf outing! The event is sold out, but they are still looking for some sponsors if you are interested in supporting it.

Midland Board of Realtors and Midland Firefighters Youth Foundation will hold a scramble golf tournament on Friday, August 14.

The other day, riders from the Midland High School Equestrian team stopped by to pick up a sponsorship check for their upcoming riding season. Starting in late August, these riders have the opportunity to compete with other teams from all over the state. Their district competition at the Midland Fairgrounds kicks off their season, and if they are fortunate enough, they will be able to compete at the National level as well.

The riders' experience ranges from 1 to 6+ years, but they are all looking forward to the season. Team competitions are much different than riding as a hobby, as they will learn valuable skills that will help them later in their lives.
