Partnership strengthens the work of the Church in Uganda. Through United4Uganda, we are blessed by people like Kimberly, who supports young people and helps girls stay in school. Other donors are also helping expand the Agarokato Sewing Center, add classrooms at Rise and Shine ChoG Primary School, and then through FARA, build a grandmother’s house in Nampunge. Again through CWC we see our new sewing Center in Mbale start a new year of tailoring class.

These partnerships remind us that ministry is never done alone. We are so grateful for everyone who prays, gives, serves, and brings hope and support to vulnerable families across Uganda. Thank you for being part of what God is doing here. ❤️

Life has a beautiful way of coming full circle. This year, our granddaughter, , is graduating from Heritage International School, 50 years after we graduated from high school at Rift Valley Academy in Kenya. Her senior class traveled to Mombasa for their trip, just as we did all those years ago… (picture shown) except they flew, and we traveled by bus!

“The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 (ESV)

Who could have imagined that 50 years later our granddaughter would also be in Africa, that we would be present for her graduation, and that some of our own children and would now be serving at the same school we helped to start? GOD KNEW.

And who would have thought that 50 years later I would also graduate with my Master’s Degree from Anderson School of Theology and meet Dean Dr. Nathan Willoby in Germany at the BundesKonferenz? GOD KNEW!

What a testimony to God’s faithfulness across generations. 🌍❤️

It's graduation day at Hope Vocational School in Mutungo! It was a small group celebrating the completion of their courses this term, but there was much joy in the room! Jen challenged the graduates to live out their faith with Colossians 3:23.--"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."

Two of the graduates, Edson and Sandra, are students supported by the Eagle Ridge family. We met them a couple years ago, and they both were in hopeless situations. Now they have hope. Sponsoring vocational students changes lives. In many cases it's not an exaggeration to say that sponsorship SAVES lives. Never doubt that.

Our team was able to present them with gifts to help them get started in their chosen trades. Edson received shoe lasts and other tools for making shoes, and Sandra was gifted with a sewing machine, table, fabric, and other supplies. They both received a bucket of love filled with food.

And--as always... there was cake! 😊🍰 (The rain held off until after the party)

Pastor Andreas is heading back to Germany tonight. Tomorrow Julie, Jen, and Cindy will be packing and doing some shopping before starting their own journey home. They will land in Detroit on Saturday afternoon.

Keep praying for them as this trip wraps up!

The latest Sewing Center is rising in Buwangwa, in Northeastern Uganda, at the Church of God site in West Mbale. What a beautiful location, overlooking the Mount Elgon range, surrounded by banana-covered hills and fresh mountain breezes. 🌄🍌

We are deeply grateful to Christian Women’s Connection for this generous donation. This Sewing Center will help train and empower not only women, but also youth in the area, opening doors to dignity, skills, and sustainable livelihoods. God bless you! 🙏 We’ll keep you posted as the building goes up!

After a lovely time in Canada, we’re back on the Continent—in a very familiar place: the airport ✈️

We’re currently in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, awaiting our flight to Entebbe, Uganda, and taking advantage of a brief window of internet access.

Today is election day, as people are casting their votes for the president. We are praying for peace across the country, though with an internet blackout, information is limited.

As we head back to Uganda, we covet your prayers—for safe travels, for peace, and for wisdom in the days ahead. 🙏🌍
