When vision meets heart, growth follows.

Today we heard from Chris Sabourin of the Children’s Grief Center — and the impact is expanding far beyond what many people realize.

What started as a local response to children navigating loss has grown into something reaching well beyond the Great Lakes Bay Region. More families. More communities. More children supported in moments that matter most.

Grief doesn’t stay in one zip code — and neither does compassion.

Thank you, Chris, for your leadership and for ensuring that no child has to carry grief alone. The growth is powerful. The mission is needed. And the work is making a difference.

We heard from Greensboro NC Rotary Club today. They support IAF (International Art Fund) bringing Armfolk from Armenia, to the United States this April-May 2026 as part of IAF’s International Youth Cultural Exchange Program 🇦🇲✨

Through live performances across different states, Armfolk will share the richness of Armenian culture, bringing traditional dance, music, and heritage to local communities.

Stay tuned because they will be making a stop near Midland.

Today, our Rotary Club was treated to a fascinating history lesson from the esteemed Nancy Barker.

She walked us through the stories of Midland’s movers and shakers—and, just as importantly, highlighted the women who paved the path for other women in Midland and far beyond.

It was a powerful reminder that progress doesn’t just happen; it’s built by people willing to step forward, speak up, and open doors for those who follow.

Grateful for the history, the perspective, and the inspiration. Thank you, Nancy, for reminding us whose shoulders we stand on—and why it matters to keep that path open for the next generation.

Then we honored Mike Zimmerman with his Paul Harris Ruby Award.
