Some gifts are so much bigger than what’s inside the package.

We are incredibly grateful to Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate for donating karate gis to every one of our Paladin martial arts students. Along with the uniforms came a message that touched our hearts:

"May this donation remind you that you are supported, encouraged, and never alone on your path. May it serve to remind you that you are part of a larger martial arts family that believes in you."

Every member of the dojo signed the card, and the thoughtfulness behind those signatures means more than words can express.

Shihan Dennis and Sensei Ted already volunteer their time to teach our students each week, and this generous gift is another beautiful reminder of what inclusion, community, and belonging truly look like.

From all of us at Paladin—THANK YOU for believing in our students and making them feel like part of something bigger. If you're looking for a place to learn martial arts from people who lead with compassion as much as skill, we encourage you to check out Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate.

Thank you for showing our students that they are seen, supported, and valued.

Rock candy, tie-dye, water games, and so many smiles! 🍭🎨💦

Our summer campers are having an amazing time making friends, trying new things, and just being kids.

The truth is, summer opportunities for older children and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities can be hard to find—especially for those with higher support needs. Families deserve safe, fun, and inclusive places where their kids can stay active and connected.

We're so proud to offer that space and even more grateful to watch these campers make memories they'll carry with them long after summer ends.

After about four years of hard work from individuals, program managers, and DSPs, we have a new chicken coop that matches the love our individuals have for their ducks and chickens. 🐓🦆❤️

A huge thank you to our Marketplace creators, who were happy to build this beautiful coop and offer it at a very reasonable price. This project has truly been a labor of love and teamwork from so many people.

Now we’re asking for a little extra help, if you’re able. Our individuals are currently doing candy sales at $2 each to support “the girls,” and finish paying for the coop. If you’d like to contribute directly or help support their growing flock, please consider donating.

Thank you for cheering them on and supporting opportunities that bring joy, responsibility, and connection to the people we serve.

What a great day out at the ballpark! ⚾🧢

Our group spent the day at a South Bend Cubs game soaking up the sunshine, cheering with the crowd, and just spending time together doing something fun!

A big thank you to the South Bend Cubs for being such incredible supporters of inclusion and community connection. Partnerships like this go beyond baseball. They help create real opportunities for people to build friendships, confidence, and joy in everyday experiences.

If you’d like to help us create more experiences like this through partnerships, donations, or opportunities for our groups, please reach out or send us a message. We’d love to connect! ⚾🌞

We are so proud to showcase the incredible work created by artists with developmental disabilities. Every piece shown is handmade with creativity, talent, and heart... and each one is available for purchase!

Purchasing artwork like this does more than support a program, it provides meaningful opportunities for artists to earn income, build confidence, express themselves creatively, and share their talents with the community. Your support helps create inclusion, independence, connection, and pride.

If you see something you love, or if you would like one of our artists to create a custom piece, please reach out to us directly.

Every sale supports both the artist and our program:
🎨 50% goes directly to the artist
🎨 50% supports our art program and future creative opportunities

Thank you for believing in the value of inclusive art and the amazing individuals behind each creation. ❤️

Have leftover art supplies, materials, or wood? We'd love to learn more and possibly use it in our program, many of the pieces feature reused, recycled, or reloved items.

We’re excited to share that Paladin will be a proud sponsor of an upcoming fundraiser this August, organized by friends of our community! This event is especially meaningful to us because several individuals we support are actively involved in Special Olympics in Porter County. Their dedication, perseverance, and team spirit inspire us every day.

At Paladin, we believe support doesn’t stop at county lines; we’re proud to stand alongside our neighbors and help wherever we can.

Stay tuned for more details as the event gets closer—we hope you’ll join us in cheering them on and showing your support!

Our Behavior Management Team and CEO was proud to join the Don’t Stare, Just Care Exceptional Ability Walk Saturday — a community movement focused on shifting perspectives from judgment to compassion. 💙

Events like this remind us how important awareness, acceptance, and inclusion truly are. Every individual deserves to be seen for their abilities, strengths, and uniqueness.

We’re grateful to Best Support for bringing the community together and creating a space that celebrates understanding, advocacy, and connection. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful day!
